Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a talkative person and fairly opinionated. It's easy for me to
get into fun, engaging, and frequently long discussions, which
happens pretty often.
If you're a fan of puns or sarcasm, then from me you'll see plenty!
Mostly puns. Yes, puns. Sometimes I think of some that even make me
roll my eyes. Like, did you hear about the guy who didn't agree
with the theory of gravity? He didn't think it had much
weight to it. Yeah. Like that. And I agree with you, the
worst part is that I share them. I also get this mischievous smile
on my face whenever I'm thinking of one of them, causing my
pun-hating friends to run the other way when they notice I'm
Coffee is one of my best friends, and coffee shops are one of my
preferred hangout spots. I either go there frequently with friends,
but also sometimes to just relax and read or get work done.
I'm also the "Let's go on long walks" kind of guy. That is, if you
can call them walks. At the pace I go they're kind of like brisk
marches, but they're still fun.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Getting accustomed to a new place! I moved to California from
Canada a few months ago for a new job, and I'm pretty happy with my
choice so far. I'm spending my time exploring the state, meeting
new people, and enjoying new hobbies.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I enjoy, and am apparently pretty good with public speaking. I'm
always looking to my next chance to be in front of an audience.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I grow my beard out a bit, people will notice that I have a bit
of a ginger beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
For books, anything by Kurt Vonnegut! Cat's Cradle and
Slaughterhouse Five are among my favorites. Recently read Animal
Farm and loved it (somehow I missed it in school). I throw the odd
Tom Clancy or some non-fiction in there for good measure.
For movies, Dr Strangelove is one of my all-time favorites, but I
also love The Departed, most of Tarantino or Christopher Nolan, any
awesome B movie, Pixar stuff, Marvel stuff... way too many to list!
I usually end up going to the theater once every couple of weeks
I don't watch that much TV, but sometimes I get really caught up in
a series. Game of Thrones has been a terrible addiction for a while
now, I really liked Dexter back in the day, and The Newsroom /
Aaron Sorkin stuff is always good (The West Wing, etc).
I don't listen to that much music beyond having the radio on, and
my tastes really vary from time to time.
When it comes to food, put me in a Japanese or Chinese restaurant
and I'll eat half the menu. I love finding new awesome places in
China Town. I'm also a pretty big fan of Italian food, and also
enjoy just going to a bar for a pint and a burger or wings on
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A really comfy bed
The occasional beer
A smart phone
Horrible, sigh-inducing jokes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Philosophy, politics, science, and dreaming about the impossible.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends at a bar, restaurant, or movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get all my best ideas in the shower! Best place for thinking
