My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
What can I say about myself that won't seem like narcissism? There's an art form to selling yourself while still seeming humble, and I often feel I strike the wrong balance. I'm a technophile, gamer, liberal agnostic atheist (atheism isn't a religion, so I list none) who's built his own gaming rig, has a great job at a local aviation business, and is looking for someone to spend time with.

Unfortunately, I'm almost completely introverted, and it can take awhile for me to warm up to someone. Unless you stick a few beers or some whiskey in me, then I'll talk your ear off about any of the various (nerdy/geeky) interests I have. You'll, without a doubt, have to stop me, as I will almost certainly lose track of time and not give one damn about it. (If you're the same way, you should message me. I'll ramble there, too, ha.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working, mostly.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Impressing your mom. No, seriously.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'll leave this question for first dates, if I can remember.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I say this now so as not to shock you later: I'm a nerd.

Books: A Song of Ice & Fire, The Lord of the Rings, The Dresden Files, The Name of the Wind, The God Delusion, God Is Not Great

Movies: The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Alien, My Week in Atheism, Blade Runner, Lincoln, Ghost Busters

Shows: House, 30 Rock, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The Office, Star Trek: TNG, Breaking Bad, Parks and Recreation

Music: Led Zeppelin, Daft Punk, Mastodon, Queen, Tartanic, Chevelle, Rise Against, Chip Tunes, Flogging Molly

Food: Anything I can put Sriracha on.

Games: Bioshock (Infinite), Mass Effect, Legend of Zelda, Dragon Age, Batman: Arkham series, and just about anything else. Including board games.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Beer. And not the Bud Light variety.
2. Sriracha.
3. A good story.
4. My education.
5. Gaming.
6. Laughter.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Recently, it's been biology and how very little I know about evolution. At other various times: how there can possibly be climate change deniers, when are they going to stop beating that dead Star Wars horse, how stories grow in their telling, and what humanity might look like a thousand years from now.

Also, why do people identify with professional sports teams? They're all just paid mercenaries.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sipping scotch, whiskey, or a beer. Generally, I'll have a game going or some sort of movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Once, when we were drunk, my best friend and I had a slapping contest to see who would chicken out first. Luckily, the hangovers we had the next morning masked the pain of this blunt force trauma. (This was college; I'm not one to do this anymore.)
