Hey DC! I'm headed your way, and I hope you're ready. I think I am a funny, intelligent, loyal girl who see the world through the eyes of eternal optimism. I think that makes me fun to be around, because no matter how bad things become, I'll find the bright side of hope somehow! I love to get the most out of every day, and find myself constantly motivated in the little things as well as the big things.

I am very feminine and girly (sundresses and heels), but I am pretty laid-back low to medium-maintenance (sundress and flip flops with a ponytail), easy to entertain (just make me laugh, I'm happy), and I like to do a lot of things other girls hate. I know more about some sports than a lot of guys I know. I can hold a conversation about politics, current events, MMA, international travel, scary movies and just about anything you could think of. If I don't know anything about it, it's pretty easy to get me interested. I have an insatiable appetite for learning. I don't love shopping and certainly won't drag you along if you hate it. I am always open to trying new things.

A fantastic opportunity has come way to take the job of my dreams, so I am making some big changes and excited to see what life has for me. I will be working in international humanitarian emergency relief and development for a big non-profit. I'm mostly underqualified, but that's exactly the kind of challenge I love.

Movies, music, shows are eclectic, but I love anything live- music festivals are some of my favorite events (Lollapalooza, Coachella, etc) Fav music today? SBTRKT, Santigold, Yuna, Alabama Shakes, Little Dragon, Melody Gardot... it changes every day.
Food: all of it- I am a bit of a foodie, but everything in moderation. I love to cook and try new things.

This question is silly... because I can find a creative way do do without almost anything. However, my two beagles, my little sister, my nieces and nephews, a good challenge...

How I can change the world, eliminate hunger, cure disease.... no really. That's really what I spend time thinking about. It doesn't mean I'm a saint, in fact, it's probably annoying to a lot of people. I just have a profound sense that I was born to do something to make the world better and I can't ignore it.

I have a crush on Talib Kweli- and I saw him live once (from two feet away!) and tried to give him bedroom eyes. He totally didn't notice. He's such a musical genius, he actually doesn't look up from the turntables much. Lame.

you have an opinion, travel to someplace off the beaten track, volunteer, have a heart, love dogs, are loyal. I love people- we can have an interesting evening and see where it goes.
