My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just moved to NJ and don't know a soul.
Update: I know a few people.

Grew up in North Carolina, but spent the last 8 years in Saint Louis.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Started graduate school in urban planning in September. Spending my weekends exploring as much as possible. I'm focusing on housing, I want to work on affordable housing projects.

In my free time I love reading fiction, cooking, playing guitar, going to concerts, and riding my bike (not always to bars).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding really good recipes. And I'm getting better at actually making them.

The Best Show (formerly on WFMU) occupies most of my time walking to/from school.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
humans as "bodies," inequality, social reproduction, exclusion, cynicism.

TV shows where the group of characters meets another group of characters of opposite gender, and each one has an obvious counterpart with similar physique/attitude. Also how in that scenario each one has to want to date the corresponding one or else it gets weird.

The phrase "she got a big booty so I call her big booty." Something about the rhythm and structure of that line is really compelling. But my friends never like my riffs on it ("she got a cute puppy so I call her cute puppy" was a fav). I do not think I have ever actually heard the song.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Recently re-read my own profile and realized I had used the phrase "partner in crime" and I cringed so hard that I actually yelled "NO!" out loud.

I really can't deal with angry people.

It's tempting to put tons of info on here and answer lots of questions, and I guess I have. But really what I want is someone curious, with a kind heart, who likes cuddling and cooking/eating. A partner who thinks taking the train to wander around Manhattan or staying home and cooking can be just as fun as going to a concert or out to a bar.
