My self-summary
Outside of work, I'm often planning activities with friends. I enjoy preparing something fun and interesting for dates, rather than just coffee or dinner. I've done marketing too, so no, I'm not shy, nor awkward. I'm not one to ask easy or mundane questions either, so be prepared!

I'm passionate about foreign policy and alleviating poverty, so I finished a Masters in reading papers on it, all day every day. My other passions are History and animals.

I enjoy quick board games, museum exhibits, and witty comedy shows. I will actually offer shopping input and, having lived alone, I can cook to save my life. I'll even enjoy it too!
What I’m doing with my life
Finished my Masters.
I now work in public policy (government office).
I'm also taking a Mandarin class.
Goal: Read Chinese news articles within 3 years.

My career ambition is to work in foreign policy or international development in 5 to 7 years. I've
- Volunteered overseas and built a playground.
- Tried learning several languages besides French.
- Managed the marketing for a seasonal business.
- Slaved away at an internship & two co-ops in the federal government and at an NGO.
- Won a glaring contest vs. a pickpocket in Paris.
I’m really good at
- Being biased towards women and 'apparently' a bit unfair to guys. Now, is that being a gentleman or is it gender discrimination? =P
- Browsing profile pics just for the dogs (Click!)
- Organizing fun dates, events, and activities.
- Analytical work. Examining socio-economic implications.
- Abstaining from video games. I was a "ruthless warlord" in strategy games.
The first things people usually notice about me
- I make a lot of eye contact in conversation.
- I'm fairly tall and lanky, yet I can eat so much!
- I'm diligent with please and thank you.
- Polos and collared shirts. No rips, prints, or caps.
- I look a bit Korean, though I'm not. Guess!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books should be original, lest I fall asleep.
- Epic series like The Wheel of Time.
- Sci-fi classics (Asimov's Foundation, the Running Man).
- History and International Affairs books.
E.g. The Ascent of Money, Why Nations Fail, The Globalisation Paradox, Globalization and Its Discontents

Movies. I like them novel and thought-provoking:
- Marley & Me, Blood Diamond, Wicker Park, District 9, Jeu d'enfants, Kate and Leopold, Inception, The Prestige, Deja-Vu, Anonymous

I need plenty of meat and veggies everyday, to be at peace with the universe.
- Giant bowls of ramen, beef fried noodles, bubble tea, spicy salmon sushi, strawberry milkshake, strawberry shortcake, crepes and waffles, McDonald's french fries

- Smooth '90s & 00s RnB, please. Keane, old Maroon 5, Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, Mariah Carey, and Jay Chou.
- No hard rap or screaming.
The six things I could never do without
- Friends to laugh with at the end of the day
- My car and its gps, for the freedom they afford
- Good hygiene. A sink before and after meals.
- The face lotion I've used for the past 15 years
- Internet for my guilty pleasures. You thought "porn," didn't you!
- A pet who'll always be happy to see me
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- Why people bother lying in profiles.
- What breed of cat I'm getting.
- When I can raise service dogs like my uncle!
- Where! Where can I eat delicious ramen uptown?
On a typical Friday night I am
- Cooking dinner with friends. Maybe movie or board games.
- Otherwise, I'm probably on the treadmill.
- I don't particularly like to exercise, but discipline and health! 2-3 times/week; I plan to live a while.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
- I was scared of furbies as a child.
Manic birds that blink and dance? Oh god. =\
- The spindly legs on seafood creep me out a bit sometimes. Delicious, but too much effort!
