My self-summary
I've just relocated to Denver ten months ago to pursue my legal career. I'd like to believe that I've just recently earned official Colorado citizenship by conquering my first 14K. (Bierstadt never stood a chance.)

After toiling through law school in the chaotic, work-obsessed confines of the District of Columbia, it's nice to escape to a city that's much more relaxed, laid-back and in tune with my personality.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an environmental attorney who works in the field of renewable energy regulation.
...In my spare time, I slay dragons.
I’m really good at
Once, I considered myself an aspiring novelist. These days, I lack the spare time to invest in lengthy narratives, but publishing a novel remains a long-term goal that I'll definitely pursue.

I still find time to write poetry. If you'd like to read one of my poems, just ask!

History, mythology and philosophy are all unrelenting passions, and my nightstand feels barren if it isn't covered with books.

I thoroughly enjoy swing dancing, where my enthusiasm tends to compensate for a lack of innate talent. (I'm a huge fan of smooth and stylish jazz from the Big Band Era.)

I love to ski, so you can imagine how thrilled I am to be relocating to the Rockies.
And, here's fair warning: I am one of the most competitive miniature golfers you'll meet.
The six things I could never do without
Coffee: I have been instructed by medical professionals that a daily injection of caffeine is absolutely necessary to prevent a relapse into an existence as a lifeless, meandering zombie.

My Computer: Whether I'm reading and reviewing cases and statutes, writing poetry, checking e-mail, watching episodes on Hulu or scanning the headlines, my laptop has been a necessity I often take for granted.

Paperback Novels: Nooks and Kindles and other contraptions be damned; I have to feel the pages in my fingers.

Boston Sports Teams: Yankees, Jets and Lakers fans, consider this an early warning. The moment Dustin Pedroia hits a grand slam or Tom Brady throws a go-ahead TD, I'll be celebrating like a toddler at a toy store.

Blueberry Ice Cream: ...Delicious.

My Family: My younger sisters may seem to be robots programmed to annoy me as much as possible, but they really do have hearts of gold...which you could see for yourself if you delved far enough beneath their copper circuitry.
My parents are pretty awesome, too.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
International Politics: I make a habit of reading The Economist and I try to watch at least fifteen minutes of Al Jazeera English each day.

Global Climate Change: I'm passionate about combating the adverse effects of climate change, and that motivation has driven me to pursue my career.

Poetry: I enjoy the challenge of finding just the right flow and tenor of words to describe my observations and convey a unique perspective to readers.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–33
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
"That’s what you do when life hands you a chance to be with someone special. You just grab that brownish area by its points and you don’t let go, no matter what your mom says."

...You'd like to chat about literary works, debate international political developments, discuss U.S. renewable energy policies, insult (or applaud) my taste in sports teams, indulge in an evening of east coast swing dancing...or exchange hysterical Arrested Development quotes.
