I'm looking for a broad-shouldered city-dwelling cerebral foodie. Let's share cellars, reservations, cooktops and queues. Thoughts, passions and curiosities too. I'm into music, theater, ballet, opera, jazz joints and piano bars and have a weakness for buying tickets.
Raised in Cleveland, I came to DC for college and never left. I spent my career as a commercial interior designer - you've likely been in some of the places I've designed - but discovered my real passion in green design. An early champion of sustainable buildings I care deeply about the viability of our beautiful orb and all its critters.
A self-described do-gooder, I'm a proudly admitted fan of President Obama, bleeding heart causes, Jon Stewart, Tom Friedman, Planned Parenthood, innovative educators, Sting and Bono.
Possibly construed as oxymoronous (a made-up word I think) I'm also a self-described uptown girl. I put care and pride into the way I look and live and have the means to spend money on both. I take the Acela, not the bus, to NYC. If a $70 bottle of wine or a 5-star hotel make you squirm we're probably not right for each other.
I'm a mother and grandmother and revel in the joy of it. My two ex-husbands are two of my best friends. Family is important and I hope you are (were) nice to your mother.
