Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My mom says I'm a catch. So I've got that going for me... which is
Things I Dig:
Sunny afternoon naps with the windows open, fresh powder days on
big mountains, 40-lb dachshunds, and mid-century Ferraris. Fresh
sawdust. Scoring on a breakaway. Terrible puns, and pool parties
with great DJs. The creative process. Freckles. Hot tubs with a
view. Spontaneous trips. Well-planned trips. Heel-and-toe cornering
on twisty mountain roads, cheap sunglasses, and hopping up stairs
& benches on my bike. Conversations in other languages, long
runs in new cities, the work of Zaha Hadid and Thomas Heatherwick.
Aimless walkabouts. Rooftop bars, and bars you can swim to. Driving
sideways in snowy parking lots. The NHL playoffs, peaty single
malts, the word "moxie," and moxie.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I few years ago I switched from alternative energy development to
product design, and I love it. It's creative, technical,
stimulating work, and it makes my brain very happy.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Not worrying about things I can't control.
- designing and/or making things (furniture, jewelry, Excel models,
products, art, friends, sense)
- organizing trips with big groups of friends
- overcomplicating small projects to spectacular effect
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
On the Road, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Sun Also Rises,
Confessions of an Economic Hitman, The Right Stuff, One Hundred
Years of Solitude, Moneyball, Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat.
Ferris Bueller's Day Off has been my favorite for years, but if I'm
honest with myself, Pulp Fiction probably deserves the spot now.
Also, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Caddyshack.
I've a wide range of tastes, even (occasionally) including country.
A lot of electronic (especially progressive & deep house,
rarely dubstep) and hip-hop. Genres ending in "unk." And pretty
much anything you might find on a Tarantino soundtrack.
Cookies & steak.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- a decent camera
- my sketchbook
- power tools
- new music
- a healthy sense of mischief
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
