My self-summary
I'm a 30 year old Persian-American guy who works from home for an ink and toner cartridge company. I'm a comic book geek who absolutely loves and adores DC Comics and would love to find someone who shares my interest in them (particularly Batman and Superman). I also love Image, Dark Horse and Top Cow (for Scott Pilgrim). But... I detest Marvel. Aside from the 90s X-Men and Spider-man cartoons, Bryan Singer's X-Men films and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films, I don't really like Marvel at all. If you like their comics/movies that's cool. They're just not my cup of tea.

I've been described by some of my friends and family members as funny, sarcastic, nutty and chubby. I'm an introvert who has social anxiety and due to this reason coupled with my current job, I have a very hard time meeting new people/prospective significant others. Due to my debilitating shyness I've never asked out a single one of my ex-girlfriends; they all asked me out first.

One thing you'll learn about me right from meeting me is that I'm a very trusting, warm, kind person. However, if you deem it necessary to hurt me/commit infidelity I'll give up on you almost immediately. I'm not a fan of drama, nor am I open-minded about polygamy or infidelity (I've never cheated on someone and would like to meet someone who values fidelity and loyalty as much as I do).

What I'm looking for in a significant other is someone who is willing to split the bills and who, like me, would ultimately be willing to parlay the money necessary to purchase a home. I'm in the process of putting together a down payment for one, but have a feeling that without a two-income setup I won't be able to for at least another four or five years. I know, it's rather blunt of me to admit, but I really do want to own a home. I've been renting apartments for over ten years and just recently I moved into a massive town-home and now even a town-home isn't big enough for me. I'm determined to own one by or before my 35th birthday.

Things I like to do in my spare time are go to concerts, movies (all genres interest me, though I lean more towards action/adventure and sci-fi), listen to music (almost all the time), travel around Cali if I can get a group together, or occasionally go to dinner. I'm a border-line vegetarian, so I try to eat in more often than not.

I'm a staunch liberal, so if you're a conservative/Republican just put my profile on hide. Again, I apologize for being blunt, but conflicts over politics (or anything for that matter) don't really sit well with me.

Last but certainly not least, because I own two kittens I ask that only someone who likes and is not allergic to cats message me. My cats are my children as far as I'm concerned and, since I don't plan on having actual kids, I would very much appreciate it if my partner views them in a similar light.
What I’m doing with my life
I have been working from home for an ink and toner cartridge company for almost three years. It's an awesome job and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Except of course if I became the head of the division of Warner Brothers that makes all of DC Comics' live action films. Because that would be FUCKING AMAZING.

As I stated above, I'm trying to save for a home. I'm also slowly trying to get back in shape. I am a chubby guy and while I'd like to be in decent shape, I hope that my current physical stature isn't too off-putting.
I’m really good at
writing, reading, and (it's not a talent, but it's no less true) eating. I've always had an insanely huge appetite. It sucks only because I have a very slow metabolism and, since I started working at home years ago, I've had a hard time staying physically active.
The first things people usually notice about me
My voice, my eyes and my smile because I rarely ever smile with my teeth. That and people say I'm chunky. I'm not too humble too admit that I've got a few extra pounds on me.

The six things I could never do without
There are way more than six. And even then, the following list isn't all-encompassing (nor is the order of any particular importance).

1. Good food
2. Great music
3. Financial stability
4. A roof over my head
5. My mum
6. Water
7. Love
8. Weekly hugs
9. My kittens, Jason Todd and Tim Drake
10. Comics (Virtually anything except Marvel)
11. Video games/My PS3
12. DC Universe Online (see #11 again for clarification)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
when/if I'm going to buy a house and where; the DC Universe and everything that's going on both in the comic book and film world (be it live action or animated); women; what's the next fun thing I'm going to do; San Diego Comic Con, Wizard World Sacramento Comic Con and Wonder Con; whether the 49ers are ever going to fire Greg Roman and get a smart offensive coordinator and if I will become a writer at some point down the line.
On a typical Friday night I am
spending time with my mum, watching a movie with my brother or by myself, gaming, watching re-runs of The Big Bang Theory, or reading comics. I try to branch out as often as possible with day trips to San Francisco, Tahoe, Monterey or similar locations, but most of my friends are usually occupied and I don't like going to places like that by myself. I'd love to have someone to go with on a weekly basis.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that if the Make-A-Wish foundation ever gave me the opportunity to, I would love to meet Christopher Nolan. As far as I'm concerned that man is the modern day film-making equivalent of the second coming of Jesus. His body of work is matched by no other director that I know of and that includes Spielberg and Scorsese. Yeah, I know... that foundation caters to terminal children, but hey... a guy can dream, right?

Make it happen guys. Make it happen.

Oh... and I reverted back to being a straight edge almost a year ago. I'll date someone who drinks, so long as I'm not peer pressured back into doing so myself. I don't particularly like the taste of alcohol and I get sick almost every time I have a drink, be it a wine cooler or a mixed drink like Coke and rum. I love virgin strawberry daiquiris though.

Most private of all though would be that I'm resting all of my dating prospects on this website since it's the only one I've ever met anyone off of. I'm hoping that I can meet someone who is a comic book reader, loves cosplayers (and possibly is one herself), games and wants to attend conventions with me in the future. I just hope that I'm not too late. :)
I’m looking for
  • Straight girls only
  • Ages 21–33
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
You are looking for a movie-going buddy, a friend to go on day trips with, someone to talk to about almost anything/someone to vent to, someone to hang out with when you're bored out of your damn mind (like I am half the time) and, above all else, someone to cherish who will, likewise, cherish you.

Just please don't be a conservative, right-wing nutbag. I hate guns, homophobes, pro-life freaks and all warmongering douche-nozzles. I'm not trying to be a judgmental ass, it's just that I try my best to stray away from political and religious conversations whenever possible because they always get heated and I hate arguing for any reason whatsoever. It's never pleasant and someone always ends up feeling like shit in the end.

Oh... and if you play DC Universe Online on the USPS3 server my toon is named ChristopherNolan (no spaces). I'm a 103 CR, 173 SP Gadgets Controller. Hit me up and we'll PVP/raid together.

Cheers,
Mak

Also, because I like to put my cards on the table sooner rather than later. I don't want to end up becoming someone's permanent penpal. I love to talk, but would very much like to meet someone in person and go from there.

Brownie points if, like me, you hate the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's okay if you like it, it's just that, out of all of Marvel Studios' films, the only one I actually enjoyed was Iron Man I. Yes... I'm one of the few people who actually saw and HATED The Avengers. Haha
