My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a 30 year old Persian-American guy who works from home for an ink and toner cartridge company. I'm a comic book geek who absolutely loves and adores DC Comics and would love to find more friends who share my interest in them (particularly Batman and Superman). I also love work from all of the other publishers and you would be hard pressed to find a great deal of comic book films that I hate (they're all very entertaining to me... even Daredevil, Batman and Robin, Iron Man 3 and Ang Lee's Hulk, all of which are reviled by the geek community. Haha). Note: you can skip over the section where I listed my favorite movies, books, music and shows. Just ask me in person and I'll list them.

I'm also a huge San Francisco Giants and 49ers fan and have been for over twenty years. I love bay area sports teams in general thanks to my brother.

I've been described by some of my friends and family members as funny, sarcastic, nutty and chubby. I'm a half introvert/half extrovert who has social anxiety and due to this reason coupled with my current job, I have a very hard time meeting new people to hang out with. However, once I meet someone I love to ask questions/converse about just about anything. It's always fun for me to go into hour long conversations with friends and family members over random trivia or current events.

One thing you'll learn about me right from meeting me is that I'm a very trusting, warm, kind person. However, if you deem it necessary to hurt me I'll give up on you almost immediately. I detest drama.

What I'm looking for in a friend is someone who has his/her own job and who is independent, funny and open-minded about all things geek (i.e. comics, video-games, board-games, Star Trek, Star Wars, cos-playing, you name it).

Things I like to do in my spare time are go to concerts, movies (all genres interest me, though I lean more towards action/adventure and sci-fi), listen to music (almost all the time), travel around Cali if I can get a group together, or occasionally go to dinner. I like to eat out once or twice a week, but also cook regularly and am slowly but surely starting to get better at it. If you want to try my pan-cooked shrimp, tilapia, or chicken sometime let me know. :)

Last but certainly not least, because I own two kittens I ask that only someone who likes and is not allergic to cats message me. My cats are my children as far as I'm concerned and I would very much appreciate it if others would respect this. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have been working from home for an ink and toner cartridge company for three years. It's an awesome job and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Except of course if I became the head of the division of Warner Brothers that makes all of DC Comics' live action films. Because that would be F****** AMAZING.

I'm currently saving to purchase my first home. I'm also slowly trying to get back in shape.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
reading, writing, listening/providing feedback, and (it's not a talent, but it's no less true) eating.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My voice, my eyes and my smile because I rarely ever smile with my teeth.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
There are way more than six. And even then, the following list isn't all-encompassing (nor is the order of any particular importance).

1. Good food
2. Great music
3. Financial stability
4. A roof over my head
5. My mum
6. Water
7. Love
8. Weekly hugs (I love hugs. They always brighten my day). :)
9. My kittens, Jason Todd and Tim Drake
10. Comics
11. Video games/My PS3
12. DC Universe Online (see #11 again for clarification)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
when/if I'm going to buy a house and where; the DC Universe and everything that's going on both in the comic book and film world (be it live action or animated); what's the next fun thing I'm going to do; San Diego Comic Con, Wizard World Sacramento Comic Con and Wonder Con; whether the 49ers are ever going to fire Greg Roman and get a smart offensive coordinator and if I will become a writer at some point down the line.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
spending time with my mum, watching a movie or going out to dinner with my friends, gaming, watching re-runs of one of my favorite shows, or reading comics. I try to branch out as often as possible with day trips to San Francisco, Tahoe, Monterrey or similar locations, but most of my friends are usually occupied and I don't like going to places like that by myself. I'd love to have someone to go with on a weekly basis.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I reverted back to being a straight edge over a year ago. I'll befriend someone who drinks, so long as I'm not peer pressured back into doing so myself. I don't particularly like the taste of alcohol and I get sick almost every time I have a drink, so I'd like to just remain a straight edge for life.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You fit the bill of someone I would want to hang out with and someone who would enjoy my company/quirks as much as I would yours. By this I mean that you are a gamer or like gamers, you're a comic book geek or like comic book geeks and, like me, detest any of the stigmas associated with being a geek of any variation.

Also feel free to message me if you are looking for a movie-going buddy, a friend to go on day trips with, someone to talk to about almost anything/someone to vent to and someone to hang out with when you're bored out of your damn mind (like I am half the time).

Oh... and if you play DC Universe Online on the USPS3 server my toon is named ChristopherNolan (no spaces). I'm a 108 CR, 185 SP Gadgets Controller. Hit me up and we'll PVP/raid together.

Cheers,
Mak
