My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
More than anything in the world, I love describing myself in a few paragraphs. I'm sarcastic, fun, and cynical, but in a good way. I'm clumsy... ask me about how I sliced open my hand on Halloween a few years ago. I love movies and reading, and used to write fiction before starting grad school (I'm trying to start up again). I enjoy interesting, meandering conversations about life, the universe, and everything. I love running, biking, and NPR.

Although I grew up in the Boston area, I spent 8 years after college in NYC, and moved back here about a 2 years ago. I'm glad to be back and have been fortunate to develop a great group of friends, but now I'm looking to find a guy to share my life with.

I'm pretty laid back, and prefer getting a drink with friends somewhere we can hear ourselves talk over going to crowded clubs (although a club now and then never killed anyone).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a clinical psychologist. After spending the last several years dedicating my time to school I'm looking to focus more on the rest of life.

I'm also a pretty avid reader and enjoy writing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Over-analyzing how to answer questions on a profile.

And crosswords.

Some of my all-time favorite movies are Donnie Darko, Happiness, Fargo, Memento, Shallow Grave, Fight Club, Don't Look Now, The Ice Storm, Heavenly Creatures... I could go on, but that's a taste of the genres I like.

Recent books I've liked: Sharp Objects, by Gillian Flynn. Company of Liars, by Karen Maitland. The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters, by Gordon Dahlquist. The Passage, by Justin Cronin. Stone's Fall, by Iain Pears. Started Song of Fire and Ice but lost steam in book 4, will probably get back around to it. I love clever ghost stories; The Haunting of Hill House is an all-time favorite.

Music I enjoy: PJ Harvey. A Perfect Circle. Jeff Buckley. Dresden Dolls. Tool. NIN. Tegan and Sara. Dar Williams. Florence + the Machine.

I love Archer and LOVE that they made a Lakshmi Singh joke this season. Enjoying American Horror Story.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A good book.
A good backup book.
The ability to use humor to keep a sense of perspective.
My family and friends.
Craft beer.
Not necessarily in this order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Sanity and insanity. Tina Fey. Friends. Whether I drink too much coffee.

Having a drink with friends. Maybe watching Netflix or a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
For as much as I loved being in NY and had doubts about moving back to Boston, I've ended up loving being back near my family and in my hometown.
