I am a smart creative guy looking for smart cool girls. I own my own business, listen to too much NPR and have lived enough places that "where are you from?" kind of confuses me. I just moved back to Nola for a consulting gig and am happy to be back, but need to re-build my circle of friends, and explore the many new places (moved away in 2008).
I am going to keep this simple-
1. I am tall, you can wear heels.
2. I have good parking karma.
3. I make a wicked Mojito and a better caiphirinia.
4. I'm good with my hands.
5. I have a vespa and an extra helmet.
6. I run...I like people who run.
7. I understand the beauty of indulgence, but also admire restraint.
8. I am a kick butt make-out partner.
9. I think everyone should be passionate about something.
10. I am very close to my family, but not a mama's boy.
11. I have lots of toys, but I know how to share.
12. I cook without a recipe but love cookbooks.
13. I am a mid-western boy with southern sensibilities (and the occasional "fuck all y'all" in my vocabulary)
14. I can eat burritos, sushi and Middle Eastern food pretty much every day.
15. I still think I can change the world…I would love to find someone who wants to help.

I wonder how many people get to this step and are like, fuck, what the hell am I doing with my life...falling into a crazy mid life crisis?

Well somedays I am not sure what I am doing with my life....but I seem to have direction, and varying amounts of movement, so I cant complain. I started my own firm a year and a half ago. Its a pretty big change and not exactly how I saw my existence a few years ago, but it also has taught me a lot, and brought me some real challenges, but in the end, its what I should be doing right now. I also teach part time at a University, which I really love. I love design, and the opportunity to encourage others to understand that passion, and find their own is a pretty amazing thing.

building stuff / using my hands/ fixing stuff
Deep thinking
Metabolizing alcohol (hangovers are rare)
saying whats on my mind

planning adventures
biting off more than I can chew...and then finishing it anyway.

I have also determined that everyone thinks they have good taste in music, are good in bed and are funny. So those things too.

My size...which usually sounds like " you're really tall" "wow, what size shoe do you wear" , (random stranger in grocery) "Can you get that for me" pointing to the top shelf, "lets not stand behind that guy"(at a concert), or my all time favorite, "P1:where should we meet? P2: Just find Matt."
Also my hair. It's pretty long these days and gets curly. Girls sometimes have hair envy. I am not sure how to react to it.

I have had a pretty diverse life, and I can say there is not much I "need" but there are lots of things I would prefer not to be without.

Chemistry is everything. If you are looking for a typical dude, I am probably not a good fit. I dont play fantasy football, own a game system or quote sports stats. I can, however, rebuild a carburetor, renovate a kitchen, and bake bread from scratch and talk about fashion, art/design, music, food and travel.
I want to meet fun, young minded girls...
