My self-summary
When I was in 3rd grade I discovered I was red-green color blind. No, I don't get green and red confused with one another, it doesn't work that way, but discovering your perception of the world is different than others is a perfect way to give a 10 year old an existential crisis. As a result, I learned early on in life that the world isn't black and white. Thanks to Radiolab, I now know I have the same color deficiency as dogs and that the mantis shrimp is a fascinating creature that sees more colors than we can imagine.

I'm not afraid to label myself as a feminist, but I also don't feel the need to brag for having common sense. I'm Jewish? But don't believe in gods. I like most things Sci-fi and tumblr is my medium of choice.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently, I am making the giant leap from the Philly suburbs to "technically" Philadelphia.
I’m really good at
Making puns and corny jokes.

Remembering that obscure tidbit you mentioned once, three years ago.

Random trivia for every occasion!

Using Etsy to acquire my entire wardrobe.

Adapting, improving, evolving.

Mimicking my environment.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my Jean-Luc Picard haircut. Plus beard and frames.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I mostly read non-fiction. Oliver Sacks, Richard Dawkins. The book "How Equal Temperament Ruined Harmony (And Why You Should Care)" completely changed my perceptions. But for me the true Good Book will always be "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and anything else written by Douglas Adams.

Movies: Stanley Kubrick and Federico Fellini have made the vast majority of my favorite films and my childhood was invested in the films of Tim Burton (the Burton/Elfman combination was a major influence on me). Currently the Marvel films make me very happy.

Music: Beethoven and Shostakovich are my musical saviors. I'm also a big fan of Vivaldi, Charles Ives, and most of the music written in the 19th century. I also love music from the 1960's; The Beatles, The Who, The Kinks, etc. Gogol Bordello is my favorite band that's around now.

TV: The 1967 miniseries "The Prisoner" is one of my favorite things EVER. So if you are a fan, please let me know! I also never get sick of Star Trek: TNG and The Twilight Zone. My favorite shows that are on right now are The Venture Bros., Community, Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D., Parks and Rec, Bob's Burgers, Archer, and Louie.

Watching The Colbert Report is crucial towards my sanity.

Food: Anything spicy, exotic and new.
Indian
Sushi
Korean

I'm pretty sure I could happily survive solely on bread, cheese, and olives.
The six things I could never do without
1. My pocket monolith (aka smart phone)
2. The Earth (It's where I keep all my stuff!)
3. Access to a gym.
4. Showers. (Can't have one without the other)
5. A little help from my friends.
6. Time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, the universe, and everything!

Is this the darkest timeline?

On a typical Friday night I am
watching Real Time with Bill Maher.

Or something really exciting, like drinking while playing Settlers of Catan with friends.
