I am punk rock, cheap beer, and a zombie.

My Self-Summary

Greetings! I'm a professional male from Western Suffolk County on Long Island (you know, as opposed to all those amateur males out there, lol). I've been active in all forms of underground art/music/media/culture in one way or another for the past 15 years. I'm generally easy going, a bit sarcastic, a hopeless romantic, creative, DIY, vegetarian, a horror film junkie, and I'm always more than willing to put my friends needs before my own. I'm into dark art, fashion, zombies, tattoos, cheap beer, comic books, cryptozoology, dive bars, art gallery exhibitions, thrift shops, vinyl (the records, not so much the clothing), adventures on the weekends (urban or rural), bad horror and exploitation films from the 70s and 80s, Conspiracy Theories, Muppets, old school video game consoles, short films, strange cartoons, and British sitcoms, to name just a few things. I usually put in about 40+ hours a week at my day job, but by the time the weekend rolls around I'm looking to do something social and/or productive, whether it be hitting a night club, working on music/art at home, checking out a gallery opening, going to a local show, doing a pub crawl on the Lower East Side, or just staying in and watching a bunch of silly horror films with friends. I'm an old school punker/crusty at heart, into a lot of different genres of music though, everything from thrash metal to industrial to post-punk and death-rock. Currently, I'm looking for someone on the same level to connect with socially, maybe more. Someone who wants to go to rowdy dive bars in NYC one night, and an art exhibition the next. Someone who's as creative as me if not more, and wants to work on projects together, whether it be designing outfits, art fusion, or photo shoots. And of course, someone who has just as obscure a taste in music and film as I do, that's like instant points!

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently working full-time in a warehouse, as I have been for the past 7 years. In my free time, I work on music, paint, design clothing and take photographs.

I’m really good at

Giving advice but not taking it (hah!), Making people laugh (accidentally more than intentionally it would seem), Using my cellphone as a flashlight when necessary, Music (I was a DJ for a while in addition to playing about 4-5 different instruments), I've done some work in the past year as a freelance photographer strictly for my own benefit, not trying to pad a resume or portfolio with it or anything though.

The first things people usually notice about me

The hair, it's always the hair. Or whatever I decided to wear that day. Although I like to think my eyes are my best quality.

The six things I could never do without

Human contact, Music, Food, Sleep, Oxygen, and something I can't think of at the moment I suppose. I'm trying to be realistic, not materialistic.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Where my life is going, and when I'll get to where I need to be in it. And when I'll make my fortune, of course. ;-)

On a typical Friday night I am

trying to find some sort of social activity to engage in, be it a night club, dive bar, or just hanging out with friends at home.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm terribly frightened of sports bars and anyplace where men congregate in front of big screen televisions, wear ball caps and drink beer. There are times when I can actually FEEL my brain cells dying out on the sidewalk before I even walk through the door of one of these establishments. Aside from that, as outgoing and friendly and social as I am, I can be kind of shy around someone I'm interested in at first, but I warm up quickly.

You should message me if

You are a creative person, you are open-minded, you have as sick and twisted a sense of humor as I do, and you don't have an addiction to any harmful substances like World of Warcraft.
