I am music-geekish, academic, and talkative.

My Self-Summary

I really can't believe Alicia finally talked me into putting something up here. I will somehow get her back for this.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently working on a doctoral degree in music at UA. With any luck, I should be finished with that in a couple years. After that, I hope to be a professor of music at a university somewhere back east. Arizona is nice and all, but I miss the color green in things that are not a cactus.

I’m really good at

Well, music, I should hope (for obvious reasons)!

I like to think I'm good at Smash Bros, though I'm actually probably pretty average. I've also been told I'm a good writer, though the only things I ever get to write anymore are term papers, it seems. I love to cook, especially Italian. I always have--at the very least--a case of pasta sauce in my apartment.

The first things people usually notice about me

How much I talk. I talk a lot. A whole lot. Probably too much. I will come to the end of a topic and still keep going on for another five minutes. If it's a subject I really love, ten.

The six things I could never do without

1. A fast computer with a good broadband connection
(1a. Music collection on said computer)
2. My video games
3. My lucky necklace
4. My sketchbook/notebooks
5. Tomato-based food products
6. My electric razor (don't laugh... >_>; )

I spend a lot of time thinking about

...way, way too much. I'm a bit of a worrywart.

Okay, a lot of one.

Anyway, suffice it to say there are always a multitude of things running through my head at any one time.

On a typical Friday night I am

...sitting at home, relaxing and enjoying my free time. I'm not a club/bar type person.

You should message me if

1. ...you enjoy classical music, especially modern classical music.
2. ...you often watch Jeopardy and find yourself thinking "Wow, I wish I had been on there tonight, I would have made a killing."
3. ...knowing the fact that I beat Yiazmat in Final Fantasy XII does not scare you off.
4. ...you think three-meat baked pasta with sausage, chicken, and pepperoni, along with peppers, onions, and mushrooms sounds delicious.
5. ...you feel like messaging me.
