What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
One day I hope to own a jazz club.
Until then, I run a non-profit that resettles translators from the
Iraq and Afghan wars and do some strategy consulting on the
I like to travel, ski, sail, play rugby, spend time with my family
and friends, play piano, see as many concerts as I can (I love
music), and write. I can quote movies like its my job and am
excellent at trivia. I'm also a music addict - one of my favorite
things is to share new artists with friends.
Three quotes that would sum up how I live my life are as
"Every step forward is a success." -Taz (a dear friend I made on a
mountaineering trip in Colorado)
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." -
"Don't only practice your art, but force your way into its secrets,
for it and knowledge can raise men to the divine." -Beethoven

Honestly, I cannot get enough music in my day. When I'm alone I'm
almost always listening to something. I have very eclectic tastes
as I listen to just about everything but heavy metal. I'm big into
Jazz (esp. Duke Ellington), Singer Song Writers, Classic Rock
(60's-late 70's), 90's Alternative Music, Classical, Folk, and Hip
Hop. I'm also an avid fan of NPR's All Songs Considered. A dream
job would be to one day get Bob Boilen's gig and travel the nation
discovering new music and sharing it with the world.
