I'm at a place in my life where I love what I do, love who I've become, love where I've been, and love where I'm going. Sounds great, yes? Except for that nagging little desire that compels me to seek out someone to share that with, as friends, allies, or something more if there is a spark. Lately, I've attracted a great deal of 'younger energy' into my life and would like to balance that with more friends around my age.

I'm a little perplexed by this question's broadness. I'm living life to the fullest of my abilities, seeking out the good in each day, working at a job that I'm blessed enough to enjoy and lucky enough that I can leave it behind when not on the clock.

Actively listening to music of all genres, saying the perfect thing imperfectly, making connections, touching my toes, continuing to talk when silence might be best, trading bad poetry, whispering to cats, and public transportation from 'a to z' without blinking at connections.

Physically? My hair, eyes, and my voice. Yes, it is natural. Gingers get asked that about one a day, so let's clear that up right now, K? The voice thing confuses me. I think I sound normal, but many strangers have asked me what country I'm from. Weird.

Movies: Films that reinterpret 'the ugly duckling' archetype. Examples: Strictly Ballroom. The Sound of Music. Harold and Maude.

Literature: I tend toward poetry (especially early 20th C.), non-fiction, and history. Late 18th and 19th C. British novels. I made a pilgrimage to Yorkshire to celebrate that love. Live theater. Thrift store text books. Oh, and Skymall; if we ever take a plane trip together, I will amuse you with social commentary on how Skymall is an uncanny reflection of the state of the American mind.

TV: Sometimes. I like to watch shows in blocks, and don't believe in scheduling life around a box, but adore Buffy. Seriously. I delight in its writing and wit, love introducing it to new people, and watch it on rainy days.

Music: I love hunting for the perfect three minute song. My quest covers everything from classical to jazz, pop to electronica. It's out there, and I will find it! Lately, it's been all about finding songs the suit me at Karaoke and belting them out every Sunday like a banshee. I also love figuring out folk versions of popular songs with my house mate on the back roof.

Food: Not much of a foodie. That said, I tingle at living within walking distance of 6 outstanding Ethiopian joints, and visit them all regularly. I also have a thing for olives and cheese.

My friends and family.
Poetry and song lyrics. When not engaged in active conversation I am reciting something, singing something or writing something, very quietly to myself.
Cats.
Boots.
Conversation.
Tea.

...how much I think? I have a tendency to over think everything.

...getting ready for Saturday, in that I rarely have them off? Fridays tend to be in the middle of my work week. Cooking while blasting music. Sometimes an adventure with friends. But mostly mellow, because I enjoy the morning light that Saturday brings.

Why spoil the mystery of discovery? I don't like providing the map without gauging the territory.
