My self-summary
I spend most of the day perceiving injustices that would be fixed if only I had unlimited power, resources and public affection. These I channel into the elusive novel.
I am an INFP.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm writing post-post apocalyptic fiction (not a typo- I focus on a world pulling itself back into shape). Also various silly poems and ideas (Tim Key style/rip off until I get my own thing), and used to be pretty good at writing about football until I decided it wasn't important enough to spend a life doing.
I’m really good at
not blowing my own trumpet
The first things people usually notice about me
is that I at least try to make them laugh and am relentlessly silly, if anything more so in a situation requiring seriousness.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
JG Ballard, Arthur C Clarke, Cicero, Homer, Tolkien, Golding, Philip Pullman, Coupland, Marlowe, Aristophanes, Murakami
TV- loads... Deadwood, The Wire, Walking Dead, Firefly, Game of Thrones, The Thick of It, Brasseye, The Planets, Horizon, The Sky at Night, Battlestar Galactica, The World at War, Boardwalk Empire, Brooker, Nathan Barley, Armando Iannucci, Darkplace...

Films- The Wild One, The Third Man, Citizen Kane, 2001, Rebel Without A Cause, The Man Who Would Be King, Zulu, Tampopo, Four Lions, Any Ghibli

Musically all over the shop too. BRMC, Libertines, DFA1979, solid indie/rock basis. Now I'm nowhere, listening to Tim Hecker, Godspeed You Black Emperor, The Sonics, Peggy Lee, Burial, Japandroids, Aphex, Boards of Canada, Bing Crosby, sbtrkt, Jaar, Black Sabbath, Purity Ring, Washed Out

Food= Anything. Apart from fishy tasting fish. Or insects.
The six things I could never do without
I place no value in things except a pocketwatch my granddad gave me. The rest is fucking stuff who cares. Stuff is just junk, and cheap old junk is as good as new expensive junk. When you realise that, a lot of what we value seems pathetic, vapid and ephemeral.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
The Rise of the Idiots and how I can be Dan Ashcroft.
How to become a Grand Vizier.
Is that person really on the phone or pretending to cover up his/her lonely journey?
I want to explore the solar system before I die.
Planning for a zombie apocalypse. I need a hazmat.
Ted Talks and wanting to know a fair bit about everything and hating the idea that I should be brilliant at one tiny subject. I just can't choose!
On a typical Friday night I am
On my way to alcoholic devastation via gin, or nursing one pint so I'm not totally shit at football the next day.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 24–30
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
if you think I'm bloody ace. If you physically can't prevent yourself from doing so thanks to my sheer animal magnetism.
DEM FRECKLES DOH. If you have them, I basically love you already.
If you didn't look at my profile and think 'he writes to much, what a bore... I like thick men I can attribute values to. Values that fall away one after the other as I slowly get depressed going out with someone who was clearly an unsuitable ratbag.'
If you like unsuitable ratbags and did not read anything.
