My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a gamer, a poet, a writer, an artist, a friend, a lover, a daydreamer, a feminist, a historian, a socialist, and a human being. I'm overly complex, reasonably simple, and as understandably confusing as anyone else.

I'm the child of my parents, the little sibling of my sister, the friend of many, the enemy of none, and nobody to most. To those who know me, or know of me, I'm Alexander Leonard Morris - and that's working pretty well for me.

If you want to know anything about me, feel free to ask. I'm an open book.

I'm a firm believer in the beauty of humanity and that the best way to understand myself is to understand my species. Likewise, the best way to understand my species is understand myself. Because of this, I'm always interested in learning and trying new things. Sexual, emotional, spiritual, physical- whatever. It's all exciting for me.

Gender is not a binary.
I tend to be a bit gender fluid.
I'm pansexual, not bisexual.
Also, I tend to be happier in polyamorous relationships than in monogamous ones. (Though that isn't always the case.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm studying at Elmira College, working my way towards my undergrad in Anthropology/History. I hope to learn as much as I can, share as much as I can, and grow as much as I can. I'd eventually like to work as either a Professor of History or as a Museum Curator. (Honestly, I'd rather write poetry and make bad art.)

I have a very keen interest in the future, in Cyborg Anthropology, in history, and technology. I'm always dreaming and finding new passions to explore.

Currently happily unemployed and focusing on my studies while developing my literary and artistic abilities. (Poetry and written word mostly.) Though, to be honest, not much of it is any good.
[Much of my writing can be found on my tumblr at but there's a lot of other things on there too.]
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been told that I'm really good at a number of things, but I tend to be rather self-depreciating so I'm not sure that I believe what I'm often told.

What I do know is that I'm good at speaking, writing, and thinking. I'm very expressive, creative, affectionate, and curious. Then again, I'm not quite sure that I'm especially "good" at being any of those things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not entirely sure. It isn't exactly the sort of thing that people openly share. But, hey, let me know if you feel like sharing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

(This very rarely gets updated and is far from a comprehensive list.)

Books: The Art of War, The Prince, Dinotopia, Leviathan, On War, The World War series, Vom Kriege, and plenty of others that I can't recall. Sci-fi, history, strategy, anything steampunk, and theory mostly.

Comics: Just about anything Marvel.

Movies: To be honest, I haven't avidly watched movies since I was a teenager. I'm a huge fan of most anything Sci-fi, History, or along those lines.

Shows: Doctor Who, Torchwood, Californication, Firefly, Stargate, Star Trek, Coyboy Bebop, Code Geass, Downton Abbey, Archer, Falling Skies, Stargate, and tons of other shows - mostly Sci-fi, history, or random things like Californication.

Music: There's a time and a place for everything and it would take far too much room to share everything here. Lots of love for the beep boops (edm) thanks to the relentless efforts of my friends out west. My Pandora stations have a lot of variety.

Food: Pineapple, strawberries, all fruit, really. Peppers and onions, rice and cheesy things, I love anything sweet and/or spicy, and am always excited try something new.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Food, water, air, shelter, gravity, and.... love? Alright, I guess that being a smart ass with this didn't go over too well.

I tried.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future mostly.
When I'm not trying to sort out my academic and social futures, I might thinking about some strategy game that I'm playing, tattoos that I want, something I've recently read, or a theory that I'm concocting. Recently, I've been devoting a lot of thought to what I want to do with my love life and what direction I want to take with my writing. (I've actually started designing a horribly nerdy sci-fi setting lately. It's kind of a pipe dream, but it keeps me busy.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Bored? Jeez, I don't really know.
I don't really have a 'typical' anything at this point.

Life back home in Indiana is full of people that I don't really know anymore, life in New York is full of people that I don't really have the time to get to know. Suffice it to say that if I'm out doing anything on a Friday night, a drink is probably in my hand.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Anything. All you have to do is ask.

If you want to, I suppose.
I don't really have criteria in mind, haha.
Still, I'd love to hear from you. :)
