My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Your basic sports-loving (hockey is king)nerd and former Marine from Detroit. I enjoy watching college football on the weekend, seeing a movie on the opening night, attending mass whenever I can, card games and in general just having fun with people. I usually crack weird, random jokes that tend to be goofy and off-the-wall. I am also simultaneously the most and least nerdiest person on the planet. Case in point, I love Monty Python and Kids in the Hall yet also think Anchorman is hilarious. Monty Python and the Holy Grail has got to be the funniest movie ever, followed by Caddyshack. I go to the Renaissance Festival often, only not in costume because I have no skill in sewing at all. :p Yet you could also find me at the local B-Dubs on Saturdays, watching the day's slate of college football games over wings and a brew. Then it's right back to playing Settlers of Catan-style board games.

Aside from my love of sports and all things nerd, I am Christian. I am a big family person, coming from a large and loving Italian background.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have gotten my Bachelor's from Oakland University, a history major, and am currently working as a Patient Services Assiociate at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.

In my spare time, I take photos and act as support for a Star Wars costuming group. Yes I am THAT kind of nerd. We do amazing work for charity, and have just recently finished our 3rd annual Star Wars Night with the Detroit Tigers. I also enjoy travelling a lot, and take regular roadtrips.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Reading, sword-stagefighting, writing, giving speeches, soccer, driving, and goofiness. I also tend to be sarcastic, and if playing video games counts as a skill then woot!

A side-note to that, I've been told I'm insanely good at RPGs. I do know I obsess a little over power gaming with them; my final party in Final Fantasy 6 consisted of Terra, Sabin, Cyan, and Shadow all at lvl99 and with maxed magic knowledge.

On the work side, I'm insanely efficient and punctual and anal. The quintessential works-too-hard perfectionist, heh.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My very serious and dour physical appearance, which is in contrast to my actual personality.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - Lord of the Rings, the Thrawn Trilogy and Hand of Thrawn Duology (Star Wars EU), World War Z by Max Brooks, 1984 by George Orwell, most of Michael Crichton's work.

Movies - The original Star Wars trilogy, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, too many horror and zombie and sci-fi movies to name. Bruce Campbell FTW!

Food - Steak, potatoes, seafood, Chinese, Italian...basically anything not a vegetable, heh.

Music - I'll admit it, I'm a bit of a music snob. No rap or techno here. But outside of that I like a mix of things. I love classical and opera, and I love most types of rock. Classic rock, metal, hair bands...just not most of the whiny stuff put out nowadays. :p
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Football, beer, friends, sci-fi, movies, comedy
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It depends. If I'm by myself I like staying in with a good book, cooking dinner for myself, watching the latest Battlestar Galactica. If friends get involved it is either staying in at their place to play poker or just hang out, or head out for some karaoke. Sometimes they're coerced into some video games.

Of course, there can also be any number of sports related things that get my attention. Baseball games, the lowly Friday college football game, HOCKEY.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a few very embarrassing drinking stories under my belt.
