My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Tall, articulate, well educated inner city man. I love my area with its live music, green politics, cafes, pubs, the fascinating people who wander Smith Street or hang out in Edinburgh Gardens.

Hard to describe myself but a quick survey of friends says: I'm kind, gentle, insightful, wise, a polymath who is easy to talk to, and have a good (if slightly wicked) sense of humour. I am passionate about social justice, fascinated in how humans work and especially the dance of relationships and how they interact together, love a lot of diversity, and use the word "celebration" a lot!

In a happy and long-term non-monogamous relationship so not looking for another one of those but not into random hooks up either, feel happiest when getting to know and connect people in a holistic way. Only ever meet people who live in the inner suburbs, preferably the north.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Worked mainly in community services including as a relationships counsellor, overseas development worker, disability worker etc

I have a PhD in Literature and am currently employed in University administration. I am also doing research into how bisexuality men are perceived and accepted in the broader gay and straight communities (you can follow that adventure on Twitter @docmartinau)

Have absolutely no interest in sport - I try and fake it in order to fit in with certain crowds but generally fail badly. I do love art, broad range of music, sunsets, music festivals, and a balanced mix of time completely alone and just hanging out with interesting people ...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Hugs, putting people at ease, bringing out the best in others, back massage, looking at different sides in an argument, rambling conversations in beer gardens on summer afternoons, cooking roast dinners, and a few other talents I may show you if you ask nicely ...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall, kind hearted, easy smile.

Like alternative music - Triple RRR, love Meredith/Golden Plains Music Festivals. Looking at what I've recently listened to: Beth Orton, Bombay Bicycle Club, Ben Folds, Radiohead, Martha Wainwright, Nick Cave, Regina Spektor, Tame Impala, Spiritualised, Grimes, Leonard Cohen, Tame Impala, Chet Faker, Dave Matthews, 10,000 Maniacs, Fleet Foxes, Florence and the Machine, Cat Power, Imelda May, White Stripes, Ryan Adams, Flaming Lips, The Go-Betweens, Cruel Sea, Bon Iver, Interpol, Death Cab for Cutie, Belle and Sebastian, Antony & the Johnsons ...

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Alone time, music festivals, something to read, ipad, wandering the world, affection - I love affection!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Places I would love to visit, politics, my relationship and other's, history, gender politics, sex and sexuality and random things I have read on wikipedia
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either at a pub or club on Smith or Brunswick St, Fitzroy or tucked into bed with a good movie/book

You have read the profile, we are a good match (above 75%?), you are curious and feel like a chat over a drink some time, you respect (and hopefully understand) my open relationship and realise that those pictures (as I keep being told) do me no justice at all :-)
