My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've moved around a bunch in the past, and I've even tried to change up my career a bit as well. Right now though I'm back in Cali working as a software engineer again and I'm pretty happy with it.

I love to run, but I have a penchant for pushing myself too far and injuring myself. Since I am frequently unable to run very much I usually stay active in at least one other sport, right now biking and yoga. Hot yoga, actually, and I really enjoy the heat much more than I expected (which is to say I enjoy it, when I thought I would not at all).

I have a corgi named Buttons. She's 1 year old and totally awesome :)

I have the same Myers-Briggs type indicator as Batman.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying my best to just enjoy where I am.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking. My favorite dish to make for any sort of dinner party type scenario is pesto gnocchi. Also recently I was craving New York style pizza and since none of the pizza places around here can do it I started making my own. At this point I think the recipe I've got is better than anything I've had outside of New York itself. If you like food then I think we might get along, I love having people to feed!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books:
Just finished the Mistborn trilogy - one of the best works of fantasty I've ever read. Midnight's Children, 100 Years of Solitude, The Brothers Karamazov, Sandman, Sophie's World, Slaughterhouse V, A Confederacy of Dunces, Ender's Game, Bridge to Terabithia, Matilda.

Movies:
My favorite genre of movie lacks a name, but I would describe it as the one-guy-going-around-being-totally-awesome genre. Such movies include Braveheart, Casino Royale, The Bourne Trilogy, V for Vendetta, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Another important set of movies is those that, if you don't like them, you probably won't like me. The two movies that I know of that fit this bill are Last of the Mohicans and Gattaca.

TV:
Archer, Seinfeld, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks and Recreation (I like comedies, if you didn't notice), Psych, Bob's Burgers, Fringe.

Music:
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Counting Crows, Paul Simon, Dispatch, Daft Punk, and a bunch of metal bands that I won't bother to mention here.

Food:
I love Italian food, but who doesn't? I'm a big fan of Mexican food as well, and having spent some time away from California recently I really appreciate having the good stuff here.

Beer:
I like to make it. Have you made beer before? It's fun, but you end up with a *lot* of beer, so I need people to help me drink it!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Running Shoes - I switched to Vibrams a couple years ago and can't possibly go back to sneakers now - they make me feel like I'm running on a mattress with bricks strapped to my feet.

Computers - They're how I make a living, but they're also a hobby.

Humor - I love to laugh for any reason, and I'm always up for rewatching my favorite comedies. I'm actually watching Seinfeld as I type this.

Food - I love making it, I love eating it, and I hope you do too.

Some off-beat hobby - This has been many things at many different times. Lately it has been juggling.

Buttons - She's great :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What's the best coffee shop to read or work in for a few hours on the weekend. If you know a good one let me know!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends on the night. I might go to a not-so-loud bar where I can talk with my friends, or I might just stay in with some comfort food and a few episodes of my current favorite tv show.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
...you love to laugh.
...you like horror flicks - I'm excited to watch America Horror Story season three, but I want someone to watch it with.
...you don't dislike Last of the Mohicans or Gattaca (unless you just haven't seen them, in which case you should do so posthaste).
...you'd like to meet Buttons, she'd love to meet you!
