My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I used to be a brainy little introvert, not that you'd know it. The trick was developing a healthy interest in other people. :P
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Got a new job in heavy industry, literally making rail cars. Small change of pace from being senior IT at a call center, but I like it just as much; day goes by quick when I'm doing hands-on work, and it pays better to boot. Gonna be weird having upper-body muscle again, though. =P

Beyond that, up to the usual creative hijinks- making fictional worlds, stories, and games. If you want more details there, just ask and I'll happily talk your ear off about it. ;)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
One of my psych classes had a similar question on a day 1 worksheet, "Name 3 great things about yourself."

I wrote:
1. Humility
2. Wit
3.

Next class, it was handed back with a helpful teacher's note explaining that I needed to give 3 answers, and should turn the worksheet back in once I'd done so. I added "Acceptance."
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Dunno. Maybe how I talk? As one college friend put it: "you'll use 5-syllable words and know what they mean, only for your follow-up sentence to be something like 'screw that noise."

Course, I also speak too fast if I'm not paying attention. These days I can slow myself down, but you might have to point it out first. ;)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read a ton, and always have. Biggest favorites might be Neal Stephenson, Patrick Rothfuss, George R. R. Martin and China Mieville. Lots of manga too; off the top of my head I'd say Fullmetal Alchemist, Mushishi, Vinland Saga, and Lucifer & the Biscuit Hammer.

My music collection's all about finding the best stuff to run to (I travel about thirty miles on foot every week). Some enduring favorites include the Glitch Mob, Infected Mushroom, Kamelot, and Florence + The Machine.

I enjoy movies & TV shows, but don't watch too many of either at the moment. Two shows I've been planning to dive back into are Burn Notice and The Wire.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Alot of things! But the top three are probably games, stories, and people.

I see all three as very interesting and worthwhile, especially in terms of how they're interconnected.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing something terribly geeky, usually with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I do my best to be an open book; there've been things in the past where honesty took some effort (that I was living with parents, or just feeling pretty lonely), but none of them are presently the case.

The most personal thing, that isn't veering into TMI...

I guess the fact that I don't know my own heart very well. It can take weeks or months for me to understand how I feel about someone.
