I'm a designer and a font snob that tends to make purchases based on packaging design aesthetic. If you've used Papyruss—anywhere—you've lost me as a customer forever. If you're picky about your ampersands—we should chat. I like to apply my creativity in a number areas of my life; at work, in the kitchen, with my friends and definitely in my relationships.

Basically I'm a former graphic designer/art director and decided it was time for a change. Up until that point in my life I had two years of college under my belt and 6 years of graphic design experience. I chose to return to school, head to Ames, and get my bachelor's degree … but I also wanted a change. Not wanting to stray too far from what I knew, journalism seemed the right fit. Turns out it was, I ended up becoming a professional at the Iowa State Daily and work as a Digital Media/Design Director the publication.
