I am married, wanting friends, and fellow seekers.
My Self-Summary
I am married and in Love with my wife. My love for Her is sacred
and primary. Love, in its generosity, can spread beyond a
monogamous relationship, but the heart of my love is Hers. That
must be understood and respected.
I am one of those intelligent people who read about a lot of "deep"
subjects because I am always chasing after the biggest mysteries of
life. I couldn't care less about sports or pop culture or material
success (I don't have to worry about that). What matters are things
of value; love, friends, knowledge, spirituality, laughter and
light.
What I’m doing with my life
I am in a mid-life limbo. Due to reasons too complicated to go into
here, I have steady income but no real job any more. I am also
trying to sell a house and figure out where to move to. So my wife
and I don't really know what is going to happen, where we're going,
etc.
Despite the lack of employment (I don't need to work for money) I
always have lots to keep me interested. I never have time to be
bored. I work on creative projects, contribute to bodies of
knowledge (on the net), write books, etc.
I have definite goals but those are difficult to explain here.
Let's just say these goals are not at all shallow or materialistic.
Some may have heard it called the Great Work or other names in
other languages.
I am after that one, whole and infinite light that is love and all
in one and nothing, infinite and omniscient. all loving, and YOU,
that very you that is most you (and I... ...and everyone else too)
I’m really good at
Being honest and sincere, learning, writing, art, listening,
meditating, doing stuff like tai chi, yoga, etc. having no motives
or emotional quirks when discussing the paths to enlightenment. I
am just a beginner so you'll get no puffed up Heirophantic attitude
from me!
The first things people usually notice about me
I am not your typical 30-something year old guy. You can kind of
tell I have always been into alternative styles. I have long hair,
I dress subtly but I'd never wear a sports jersey or a baseball
cap. I don't like beer or sports I am WAY deeper than most, but I
seem quiet at first. I'm more likely to discus love, nature, life,
the universe, enlightment etc. than a TV show, a sports team, or
whatever those empty normal people blather about.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
BOOKS: philosophy, wisdom, cosmology, hermetic wisdom, quantum
physics, spirituality, neuro-theology, fringe knowledge, the
psychology of myths, comparative religion, ontology, epidtemology,
ethnopharmacology, and just a little fiction if it is good enough;
Robert Heinlin, Nick Herbert, Phillip K. Dick, William Gibson,
etc.
MOVIES: I'll watch almost anything if you cuddle with me or sit in
my lap or let me spank you... or wait, can I take that back?
Freudian slip!
MUSIC: I like so much that it is easier to say I hate country, pop,
most classic rock, rap, and other boring radio-friendly stuff. I
was a DJ for most of the 1990's and spun industrial/goth/punk etc.
but I like a LOT of different stuff, even ambient.
FOOD: whatever. I like
The six things I could never do without
1.personal integrity (honesty, honor, liberty, respect)
2.love (friends, family or lovers)
3.books
4.learning
5.nature
6.wonder
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The greatest mysteries of life, personal development, how amazing
life, nature and the universe is... oh yeah, and love and sex!
On a typical Friday night I am
Either having good quality time with my special wife or else being
happy by myself involved in any number of creative projects. I
always have interesting stuff to do but I love people-time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am entirely devoted the goals of religion and mysticism while
employing the critical method of doubt, reason, skepticism, and,
perhaps here or there or when I'm 99, some sort of theory based on
person experience and a sound philosophical, epistemological, and
ontological foundation.
The base of my pyramid is intelligence, reason, questioning.
The apex of the pyramid is illumination at the apex not yet
reached.
The vertical axis, the backbone to the whole thing is the axiom:
nothing can be known with certainty, and there is no reason to
think that anything is impossible.
You should message me if
Are interested in achieving illumination, or enlightenment, the
Great Work, or what ever you call it, if you are into Thelema, the
O.T.O. and/or the A.A. (A.'.A.'.), the occult, yoga, tai chi,
mysiticism, mediatation, magick, rainbow family, etc.
