My self-summary
Okay, I'll boil it down: I am first a Christian, and second, a libertarian, and I believe that the two ideas are not only compatible, but mutually dependent.

For those who I haven't scared off, I am also a musician. I play guitar, piano, trumpet, harmonica, and kazoo. I compose a lot of music, probably best described as orchestral metal. However, I am also in the music ministry of my church and write music for that purpose as well.

I'm a big fan of speculative fiction. I enjoy reading many kinds of science fiction and fantasy, and writing it as well.

I enjoy all kinds of humor - wit, irony, irreverence... I love all of it. But I also enjoy intellectual conversations, and I am a good listener when it comes to serious matters.

I am rational, reserved, and empathetic.
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently studying economics in college with the intent of becoming a professor one day. I am a radical proponent of the free market and personal liberty, and I hope to help victims of the public school system unlearn the propaganda and fallacy that they get through government education in regards to economics.

In the meantime I am writing a few novels, and also a book defending libertarian ethics from a Christian perspective.
I’m really good at
My primary skills are in composing music, writing stories, and debating economics and philosophy.

The first things people usually notice about me
My beard. I have been told I look like a Viking.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite authors include Robert Heinlein, Orson Scott Card, Terry Goodkind, and L. Neil Smith. If I had to choose a favorite fiction book, it would be Heinlein's science fiction classic, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

I like movies that make me think, usually. But occasionally I want to turn my mind off with a good action flick. My favorites include Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, Serenity, The Godfather, and Apocalypse Now.

As for music - I don't like urban pop music, and I don't like country pop music. What's left? Well, there's metal. I like metal. I also like progressive rock, so it follows that I am a big fan of progressive metal. But I prefer music with a lot of orchestration. So give me a fusion of orchestral metal with progressive rock, and you've got a very happy customer.

When I want to relax I like something more classical - Brahms, Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Bach, Beethoven, Haydn... all heroes of mine.

My favorite food is cow. My second favorite is potatoes. My third favorite is fermented barley and hops.
