My name is Dan. I enjoy going on adventures near and far. After work I find solace at the gym. I build masterful metal creations at work and in my free time. I like my music to rock and my movies to make me laugh and be packed with action. I look to the future when I hope to stop working for "the man" and run a business of my own. I'm fun, interesting and full of useless, but interesting knowledge.
What I’m doing with my life
I've done a lot of different things in my life so far on my journey to my current career in welding. I went to college and got a BA in Communication Studies, then soon after I graduated I went back to school for 9 months to get a certification in welding. I have been a welder for about 5 years now and I am currently looking to make my next step up in my career.
I’m really good at
Welding/metal fabrication, being scatterbrained at times, always asking the right questions, random/useless knowledge, pictionary, knowing when the hot potato timer will run out.
The first things people usually notice about me
I would say my youthful looks and my height.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Literature: I would like to read more, but I need something that will hold my interest.
Music: I listen mostly to rock music of various types, but the heavier stuff keeps me flowing while I'm at work.
Movies: I enjoy pretty much any movie with action, comedy, or both. Some of my favorites are Saving Private Ryan, Prometheus, The Incredibles, The Shawshank Redemption and Guardians of the Galaxy, to name a few. I always like animated movies, any superhero type movies and most Sci-fi stuff.
TV: I hate reality TV. I don't have cable, so it's YouTube, Hulu and Netflix for the time being.
Food: I stick with fairly normal food. My favorite foods come in the form of BBQ, Asian cuisine, and Greek food as well.
The six things I could never do without
-Genuine people with good stories
-Delicious, home cooked food
-Going on adventures to somewhere and nowhere
-Music that both motivates me and makes me think
-Technology (When it works properly)
-Transportation, preferably an automobile, but anything will do.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can improve my overall quality of life.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm either out with friends or sometimes relaxing at home for the
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I put that I speak German as a joke. I took 2 years of German in high school, but the learned material to fun ratio was very unevenly split. I'm lucky I even passed.
You should message me if
My "perfect" match has a lot of things, but I value genuine people and a good sense of humor over all. If you have those 2 basic traits, we can just start there and see where things go.
