Moved to New York a little over two years ago to pursue a career or something - mostly to get out of the restaurant industry. Currently doing that as an editor for a small parenting magazine while... working part-time in a restaurant. Ahem.

Editing resumes and cover letters. Seriously, I spend half my time at work doing that shit for friends.

Books: I typically read magazines or news sites, as it's like, my job or w/e, but as far as actual books go: Franny and Zooey, The Virgin Suicides, The Stranger, anything by Kafka - he's effing weird.

Films: Currently, Take Me Home Tonight is streaming on Netflix--it is TERRIBLE. I'd highly recommend it. Unless of course, hilarity involving copious amounts of cocaine is not your bag, in which case go watch Citizen Kane or whatever. (A movie which, incidentally, I do not understand and don't care to.)

Shows: Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, The Wire, Mad Men, Parks and Rec, Happy Endings

Music: Here are a few that never get old: Broken Social Scene, Frank Sinatra, Explosions in the Sky, The National, The Antlers, Kanye West (SORRY), Blackbird Blackbird, M83, most Christmas music, anytime of year.

Food: Recently found my footing again after years without pork and red meat. THANK GOD. I really hate ham though.

My plan/escape route for the impending zombie apocalypse--we all know it's coming! BTW, if you seem unfit to survive said apocalypse for at least a few months, that's a deal breaker.
