Hi, my name is Kyle. I'm currently a first year graduate student
working towards my PhD in cellular and molecular biology. Aside
from being a huge science nerd, I'm also very much in love with
dance. I've been
training in ballet, jazz, modern and hip hop for the past five or
so years and it has become a very important part of my life.
Aside from science and dance, I also enjoy hanging out with my
friends/classmates, watching movies, video games. I also enjoy
reading when I get a spare moment (mostly science fiction/fantasy
novels) and listening to a variety of music - anything from pop to
slow lyrical songs or classical (whatever I can dance to,
mostly).
I tend to be shy at first but open up tremendously once I get to
know someone. I have a somewhat goofy and often raunchy sense of
humor but kind of a goody-two-shoes really. I don't smoke, drink,
etc. and I don't do the casual hookup thing. I really do appreciate
romance and honest intimacy.
I'm looking for someone who is (as corny as it may sound) a
genuinely good person. Someone intelligent, kind, outgoing,
affectionate, respectful, trustworthy and appreciative. Someone who
likes to go out on the town, but who is just as happy staying in
and watching a movie under a warm blanket. I'm interested in
someone who is mature enough to know what they want, but who is
still in touch with their inner child and knows how to laugh and
have a good time.
Currently in my first year of graduate school for a PhD in
molecular biology/genetics
People often say I'm a rather good dancer and that I'm very good at
making banana chocolate chip cake. Also, from what I'm told,
kissing.
I met someone recently and the first thing they told me was that I
had a great smile.
Last thing I read was Brisingr of the Inheritence Cycle. I
typically read fantasy/sci-fi type books. Also recently read His
Dark Materials trilogy, which I highly recommend.
For movies I like anything from
romantic comedies to action
thrillers, but horror movies tend to give me nightmares (the kid in
me, I guess).
Music: Quite a range, anything you can dance to
Food: I'm not especially picky, but I really love asian food :-)
I used the say the things that I enjoyed most in life were my three
B's:
Biology,
Ballet and
Boys.... But lets see
if I can come up with 6
Family and friends of course, Science, Dance, good food, good
music, and Pepperidge Farm Goldfish...i love those little guys.
Occasionally I'll go out dancing or something but I'm more likely
to go out with some friends for dinner, a movie, or just stay in
playing games and hanging out.
Apparently OKcupid has given up on me as it has started showing me
women in my quickmatch...
you are a nice, smart, affectionate guy looking for something long
term and think you'd like to get to know me better.
