My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love: life, learning, teaching, music, concerts, dancing, singing, playing guitar & piano, making friends, traveling the world, yoga/meditation, smiling/laughing, and great food.

I'm a very laid back guy. Most who know me usually say I am funny - including the kids I teach. I am always happy to hear this, as I see a lot of people worldwide who forgot how to smile. It seems like a trend. ;-)

Though I am a goofy ball, I know how/when to be serious for all those seriously-serious occasions.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
By trade, I'm a kindergarten teacher. I feel really fortunate to be around young learners who shine human values (enthusiasm, joy, friendliness, compassion, creativity...). Singing all the time helps me stay young, too.

I've studied, taught and made music in fifteen countries so far. Just got back home to California from Milan, Italy where I was teaching kindergarten.

I'm also an avid musician, soon-to-be published author and a professional smiler. This is a good deal of my life so far.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Taking life lightly, smiling, and being friendly. And eating - I'm good at eating, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Paulo Coelho is one of my favorite authors. I also have been enjoying many autobiographies over the past three years - some are better than others. Dr. Seuss is another one of my favs. I never get tired of reading his books. I've read a lot of Steve Martin and I always get a kick out of his work.

Great/classic movies, of course. Comedies always work for me, though I also enjoy action and cheesy love stories. Shawshank, Citizen Kane, Star Wars, One Flew Over..., E.T., Silver Lining's Playbook, Say Anything, Gump, Good Will Hunting, old school Jim Carey/Adam Sandler.

"Music, sweet music, there'll be music everywhere... " Grew up with some of the best music ever recorded; classic rock, 80's, blues & jazz (America's music) and eastern/western classical. Enjoy the Grateful Dead, Phish and Panic for their live shows and homegrown audiences. I also create my own weird style of music and enjoy sharing it with the world. Wanna start a band?

Food: I love to eat/cook Thai, Mexican, Indian, Sushi, Italian, Vietnamese, Lebanese/Turkish and also just good old fashion raw food -- pick the mango off the tree in Thailand or India and eat it. Yummy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, Mom, Meditation, my guitars & piano, and sunshine
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why the world is mostly backwards.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sleeping by 7:00 PM. Just kidding. Probably going out to eat with friends, or playing music somewhere - possibly a new/old movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I love the song, "Faithfully" by Journey. And 100 other love songs from the 80's. When no one's around, I crank them up on the home system.
