I am friendly, charming, and genuine.

My Self-Summary

Howdy. I'm not a cowgirl, it just seems like a good opener and I know the words to quite a lot of Dolly Parton songs.
Adventures are an important part of my life - holidays or just doing something a bit daring - I like getting outside my comfort zone.
I like taking people to things I know they'll enjoy and I love finding that 'perfect' present. I'm a mine of useful and also pretty random information. I'll sit quietly for most of a pub quiz but be able to deliver that killer least expected answer.
I don't have a dark side, I reckon that's a definite plus.
Good stuff: Charlie Brooker, cookery shows, the Wire, Facebook Scrabble.

What I’m doing with my life

Weekdays are spent teaching in a primary school which is mostly good fun. Life's never dull when you're surrounded by 8-year olds. Always learning something new, at the moment Lindy-hop classes in glorious Penge (I'm getting much better at not treading on people's feet). My son is nearly 5 and I've just bought him a Wii but his birthday isn't for a few more weeks so I play it when he's in bed, sshhh!

I’m really good at

Baking, being silly, organising unruly children, usually great at writing rubbish but I'm struggling with profile business.

The first things people usually notice about me

Ringlets, depending which way up I am.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Always reading something, all the classics, love modern fiction more - a bit of William Boyd, JP Donleavy, Nicholson Baker, Iain Banks.
Films - anything that's not too soppy. Coen Brothers, Film Noire, Black Comedies, dark slightly kinky Spanish/Australian movies.
Music - I like dance, indie, motown, disco, jazz. Not overly keen on Classical but I wouldn't leave the room spitting in disgust if it was on.
Eating - anything apart from liver or sprouts.

The six things I could never do without

Nailfiles, eggs, electric toothbrush, sparkly things, friends, knickers.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

how to fill huge voids with writing.

On a typical Friday night I am

It would usually start with a cheeky G&T whether I'm on the sofa or in a pub.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I know the words to every Bananarama song but I'm not sure why.

You should message me if

Most artificial appendages are OK apart from false teeth, unless you're over 85.
You like most of the people who appear on Mock the Week apart from when they have people on who aren't comedians and are consequently a bit rubbish.
Same goes for Ann Widdecombe presenting Have I got news for you - not even funny dreadful.
