My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
(Oh my, it's been almost four years since I rewrote this!)

I always thought I'd have a hand in the apocalypse.

My career is that of an actor/writer/director. I'm trying to bust my way into the DC Theatre Scene working as a freelance Actor, Director and Playwright. I also have my own Theatre Company, founded with some friends.

Music is my other passion. I've put all of my eggs in the artistic baskets, because I'm an art addict: I love to create and perform. I've been a violinist for the past 17 years, typically playing gypsy, tango, flamenco, klezmer music as well as some jazz and classical.

I'm generally a quiet person, who likes to observe. If engaged, I can be rather garrulous, prone to snarky comments and wild bouts of storytelling. I never shy away from adventure given that it's not too dangerous. I always like a good challenge, and I always like learning new things. Sometimes, in piques of boredom, I just click through Wikipedia, seeing if I can learn anything new through random links.

I really enjoy cafes and tea-houses, especially those with al fresco seating! I love writing in notebooks while sitting outside, especially in the fall. I'm also an avid fan of Karaoke, and I don't require drinks to get up on stage and sing. I love hanging out at quiet bars, where conversations can be had. I've been known to go clubbing once or twice, but only to spend time with my more dance-inclined friends.

I'm a fan of both footballs, Pokemon, Anime and Manga, emotionally honest art, and fun.

So that's that most elegant summation that I can muster. If you want to know more, I suppose you could just message me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My Theatre Career is starting to move forward at a much happier pace than before. I have my own theatre company up and running, and I'm consistently acting in shows, directing them or playing violin in them.

I work in a restaurant as my survival job, but I'm looking for that to change.

This year, my plan is to learn German, because I decided that German is really cool.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Being Captain Obvious
-Telling Stories
-Making Cocktails
-Understanding Music
-Analyzing stories and plays
-Making Lists (I make lists for fun, sometimes)
-Making Stupid Faces
-Deadpan Snarking
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
-that I mildly resemble a Panda
-that I'm having a good time
-that I'm making a strange face at them
-that I remind them of someone they know
-that I seem unperturbed by everything around me
-that I seem really zen
-that I have a calm, gentle energy
-that I have crazy hair
-that I don't like punctuating my lists
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Smoke and Mirrors, Fragile Things, Villains by Necessity, As I Lay Dying, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenence, American Gods, Anansi Boys, Stardust, Good Omens, Life of Pi, the Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, World War Z, Dirty Jobs, The Case File of the Black Widowers, Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay, and many, many more. I also have a fondness for good plays and could read Sarah Kane every day from now until forever.

Movies: Balto, The Red Violin, Glengary Glenross, Airplane, Anchorman, Boondock Saints, Court Jester, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Hero, Brucy Almighty, Fight Club, Team America: World Police, The Fountain, Hero, Goodbye Lenin, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Shaolin Soccer, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Mean Girls, Eurotrip, Birdcage, Waitress, Mrs. Doubtfire, Death to Smoochie, American History X, Finding Nemo, Bolt, Serenity, 3:10 to Yuma, DJango Unchained, The Room (for all the wrong reasons), Push, The Step Up series, Burlesque, Black Swan, The Wrestler, Pi, Troy, and I'm sure there are more.

Music: I have a crush on every music, meaning I appreciate it. I tend to like 'smart' music, or music that is emotionally honest (not necessarily 'emo', which might be just whiny). My favourite artists are Muse, Adele, Radiohead, Soundgarden, Pentatonix, Boyce Avenue, Mary J Blige, et al.

Foods: I'm an ova-lacto vegetarian, though I try to stay away from eggs. I prefer to do my own cooking mostly, but recently have not really found time or money for groceries. I am, however, very fond of macaroni and cheese, calzone, and chinese food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Honestly, I feel like I could do without a good many things, but off the top of my head, here are the things I currently will not get rid of:

1.) Meditation
2.) Theatre
3.) Computer
4.) Music
5.) Fascination with something (anything, really)
6.) Quiet places to sit and write.

I feel the need to include "Friends" in that list, but they didn't quite make the top 6.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-What would look really cool on stage.
-What would sound really cool in a play.
-what it'd be like to have a cyborg velociraptor (terrifying, right?)
-nice gifts to get people
-how I'm going to get through the next couple years of my life
-whether or not I'd be a good boyfriend. It's tough. I think I'd either be really good at it, or really terrible.
-how to understand people (both as individuals and as a population, then as a species)

Currently I'm wondering what % on OKCupid is a good match? I see a lot of people who're roughly 70% match...but the neurotic in me screams "70%!? THAT'S A D+"

That leads to the awesome pick-up line: "Hey baby, wanna be my D+?"

And that leads to me getting slapped. Awesome.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
-getting off work and going to a bar to unwind.

-getting off of rehearsal and going to a bar to unwind.

-resting at home, watching a horrible movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
-I'm terrified of black holes. The thought that our galaxy is rotated by a Supermassive Black Hole actively stresses me out.
