I am amused and often thrilled about my life in Portland. I am extroverted, yet balance that with finding quiet introverted meditative discipline of writing when I can. I am a realist, but I love the surreal. I have an affinitty for films that reflect the darker half of humanity in comedies, dramas, documentaries, horror, and biopics. During my 16 year stint in Portland I have become a full blown coffee snob and gluten free foodie. I am a dog dork who is lucky to have the ideal companionship of an awesome boston terrier named Opie. I see many of my hobbies as more of a subculture than sport.I have been snowboarding 16 years, and skateboarding for over 20 years. Staying physically fit with intense gym workouts helps to prevent and rehab injuries for me. Eating well is a habit I wish to maintain throughout my life. I would like a woman in my life who is evolved, and also engaged in fit and healthy activities or pursuing some passion be it in in art, music,yoga, working out or any such activity/endeavor. A daily dosage of good music and excercise is part of my routine. A refined taste in music is like a refined palette it takes years of patience,flavor exploration and creativity paired with appreciation for quality indgredients. I like people who are indepedent critical thinkers. I want to meet someone I can appreciate for their humor, intellect, beauty, and integrity. It is imperative for me to connect with someone who knows themselves and above all is true to self. Collecting music, memories, tattoos, skateboards, snowboards, stories, books, magazines, friends and good times are things I will keep doing in life.Work provides me with endless source material for my writing,if I am not being creative in some area I Feel unproductive and unfulfilled.

I work as a Radio Cab Driver in Portland and make a decent living with lots of freedom and flexibility, to pursue other interests in my free time. When not working in the summer I travel, ride skateboards, bikes, surfboards, and stay active in the gym or in the outdoors. During winters I make it priority to snowboard, and have regular weight training workouts mixed with yoga and other physical releases, it helps me stay healthy and sane. I am working on a collection of writings I have done, outlining a novel, a diifucult but rewarding task. I have worked as a social worker, bartender and service industry worker in some capacity for years. Passengers who ride in my cab tend divulge their dirtiest details, I think of myself as the fifteen minute therapist. I do wish to return to earn a second degree in school, but paying down some undergraduate loans, and saving money right now is more pressing than enrolling this term in college. I have a good crew of friends, I enjoy going snowboarding or traveling with, as well as seeing live music in the Portland area.

Reading people. Critically thinking about music, art, literature, and connecting with people. I am honest, and do not mince words. I am quick witted and do not take myself too seriously and often prefer self mockery and self depricating jokes, as well bringing laughter to awkward social situations. I am confident as a writer, friend, and person who is evolving into my ideal self in a slow but steady manner. I also pride myself on my palette in finding fantastic foods, restaruants, and do enjoy cooking when I can, as well as creating art with illustrations, paintings, and playing in a punk rock band.I am good at being inspired and as well as influenced by artists writers and musicians that produce works of genius. I enjoy challenging authority or the status quo in a concerted elooquent and well executed attack, punk rock is the perfect vehicle for this. I enjoy skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing and finding fun things to do with friends musically or otherwise when out and about, I do these things well, but above all have fun doing them.

3.) My friends and family and awesome Boston Terrier Opie.
4.)Punk Rock Music- its the anthem soundtrack, and story of my life, as well as the voice of my generation.
5.)Art, literature, and good films.
6.) A physical lifestyle with weightraining, work outs with running or yoga or some exertion mixed with sports or activities of skateboardings, snowboarding, and surfing.

What I want to create, and how I want to leave my mark on the world, as well as what wonderful food or people I wish to encounter during my days. Upcoming shows I am currently interested in, or what books I am reading, work is a preoccupation. My writing, and music I am creating.

I sometimes work, but often take that night off to see live performances from punk rock, or high dessert stoner rock sort of sounds, I love turntabalism and instrumental music that is heavy with beats and anthem like vocals creating a wall of sound pounding and empowering an audience.Sometimes I enjoy staying at home with a good book or movie snuggling with my snoring pig dog Opie the awesome boston terrier. During snowboard season I often crash early to go charge hard and ride early morning first track powder, I like to roll with a core group of my homies on these days, or will go alone and have just as much fun. I love powder days during snowboard season in Oregon, they are among the best moments in my life. I love Blazers games, and watching NBA too, its really the only team sport, other that and soccer I enjoy watching. I enjoy movie premieres, and an exceptional meal at one of the dozens of extravagant but casual dinner spots on the East Side (the true heart and soul) of Portland.

I sleep with pillows on my feet, mostly so my dog has a comfy place to stay, and I secretly or not so secretly am curioius and wanting to read Fifty Shades of Gray even though I am a total dude, not looking for girl softcore storylines, I just must see what the buzz is about. I also enjoy some quality manscaping time when needed.

If you love art, food, literature, tattoos, good times, traveling,coffee, punk rock music, boston terriers, board sport/culture and actively ride. I would also like to connect with more yoga people as I am trying to find a style that suites me best. More healthy people and less dramatic train wrecks please.If you are stoked to go sing karaoke as a serious crooner, or just want to dork out and have fun, I am always down.Creative cute, and fit wild women are always appreciated and admired. Underhanded, deceptive, and those that do not depict themselves honestly or realisitcally in their profiles with trick photography/false advertising bait and switch tactics or just have a boring generic and completely vague self summary don't bother these are all deal breakers for me. Also, unimaginative and at times painfully socially awkward types turn me off, if you have been unable to find dates in the real world and up until now, and you are in your late 30s and baby hungry, and this your last resort I am not the guy for you, desperation is not exactly a pheremone or aphrodesiac I find alluring. I am not anti kid, nor do I think wanting to have a kid is bad, I just dont feel the need to give into fears because I am over 30 and must have a kid before 40 mentaility. Grown ass women who routinely over use the words TOTES,BESTIE, AMAZING, and LIKE in every conversation look somewhere else, teenybopper talk turns me off. No matter how hot a women is, when the text talk teenybopper speak happens, its an instant dealbreaker. If thats how you like to talk, find yourself a brainless jock frat boy who also talks that way, because I am not into teenybopper speak, nor do I talk in text code shorthand.Lastly ladies who claim they live in Portland, but are actually Beavertonians, or some such other suburbanite, get real, get honest and get with a guy in the burbs. Don't claim Portland when its not on your mailing address, or you live deep in the burbs west of the Canyon Road or on the Washington side of the Bridge. You are not Portlanders, you are the bridge and tunnel brigade, be real and own up to fact that you don't live in Portland. I am down to date a woman from the burbs, I just want to know, because in my opinion honesty is always the best policy.
