That being said, I'm a free thinker, who is grounded in reality. I'm trying to live minimalistically. Essentially I don't buy things, and yes this started shortly after college while having little money to buy things, but it stuck.
I'm mostly a vegetarian and exercise regularly. Yeah, I do eat meat, but only when someone prepares a nice meal for me.
I'm an optimist naturally, learned to be a realist, but I'm seeing the benefits of being an opportunist. The glass has never been half empty, I don't see it as half full anymore, but I'm happy I found this glass of water here, I was getting thirsty.
I enjoy writing, reading, hiking, listening to music and the occasional movie. I forget that I own a television, actually. My time is precious and I want to spend it doing things I enjoy.
I have taken charge of my life; I like where it's headed. The tough times lead to growth, and a story to tell later on. It could even impart wisdom.
