My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Nobody likes writing these, do they? For most of us, bragging about how awesome we are is against our natures, but here goes.

I'm smart, well-read, considerate - a bit geeky, definitely, but also well-rounded, I think. I'm adventurous, generous, loyal to friends, beloved by animals. I'm an introvert by nature, but I'm often funny and usually a decent conversationalist

I love Seattle, and I love going out to visit new restaurants, bars, museums, etc. I like walking around the city as well as getting out of town for hiking. I'm not much of a party-person, and although I go out with friends now and then, most evenings I'm at home reading or watching DVDs. In recent years, I've become a fan of strategy board games, too. When time and weather permit, I like to get out of town to go hiking, but I'm not a hard-core outdoorsy-type at all. I don't own a smartphone.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a lawyer and sometimes a writer. I work with low-income folks, mostly. I have a background in social justice. I used be a private investigator, and long ago I ran a bookstore. I even taught at the UW for a short time. Life is a journey.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Does anyone know the answer to this? It's like a zen koan.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read a lot, and I see a lot of movies. I have strong opinions about both, but I also like all types and genres. Or rather, I like many types and genres, from non-fiction to graphic novels. I like to try new things, and I'll be more than happy to discuss my favorites - or yours. I don't think pouring out a list of names is very productive here.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A book to read.

Five more books....
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Career, family, the future, the ultimate destiny of humanity.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm increasingly self-conscious about this profile. I've rewritten this entire thing dozens of times. I feel like eventually, by process of elimination, I'll get it right.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you've read all the way down to here, then you may as well just go ahead and drop me a line.

Also, please be able to write and spell (more or less) correctly. Emoticons make me frowny-face.

One more thing: I constantly forget to close my browser tabs, so OKC thinks I'm always online. I'm really not.
