My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Missouri-born but remember none of it. I grew up in Maryland, but Virginia is my home now. I'm an easy-going guy looking to find someone who'd like to explore all the things Virginia has to offer.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in the DC area, though my job takes me overseas for a few months at a time. I get to see a lot of places I would not otherwise see, but I do look forward to the day when there's a little more stability to what I do. I'm pretty career driven. I have goals and I aim to achieve them. I'm also a new condo owner, so I'm learning that you are never truly done with home improvement.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm the type of guy who plans out what he wants to do and then goes out and does it. Good things might come to those who wait, but the best rewards are earned through hard work and dedication.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People who get to know me usually notice my drive. If I truly believe in the value of what I'm doing, there is nothing that will stand between me and accomplishing it. It can be a new project at work, a personal goal, or my never ending quest to find delicious foods.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Haven't been able to do much reading, but I liked the Game of Thrones books up until all my favorite characters died. I'm a fan of Stephen King's Dark Tower series and The Stand. My latest TV obsessions is the Walking Dead. I really liked Dexter and Breaking Bad, and am hearing nothing but good things about Turned and Black Sails. I love newer country music, but lately I've really been into dipping my toes back into the alternative rock.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Of course there's the cliche ones, faith, family, friends, cell phone, internets, etc. But everyone says those, so I'll just list five random things that make life more awesome.

1. Sandals. Who likes their toes baking in shoes? Not this guy. I like my freedom, and so do my feet.
2. I used to say Tabasco, but now I'm a Sriracha convert. Oh Sriracha, where have you been all my life?
3. Duct tape. There's a reason why people say duct tape fixes (almost) everything.
4. Stars. They're like, big giant balls of fire that someone threw into the sky for your amusement.
5. Hammocks. Most problems can be solved by a sensible combination of hammocks and naps. I guess I am able to do without it though, because I still haven't gotten around to buying one.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life's great mysteries. What's the meaning to life? Why are we here? Why do some girls appear to have an odd obsession with fake mustaches? Some things I guess I'll just never know the answer to.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Fridays are pretty simple for me most days. I'm usually hanging out with friends, spending time with family, or just taking some "me time". I'm not very big on the bar scene, but I go sometimes if my friends want to. For me, there are few things that can compete with a night sitting around with good friends, a bonfire, and a cold beer. Preferably that seasonal blue moon that comes out at Christmas time. And smores. Smores are amazing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
One random thing I can't stand is when veggies aren't fully cooked. You pick one up on your fork thinking, "Okay, tonight I'll try to choke down some asparagus." Then you bite into it, and the thing squeaks in your mouth when you chew it. That squeaking is like nails on a chalkboard for me.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have drive, ambition, and a great attitude. You don't have to be the queen of the world or anything (although I guess it would be interesting to date royalty), but you should have dreams you want to accomplish.
