My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey, I'm Dara! Stereotypical New Jerseyan: Loud, relatively blunt (not in a rude way,) lots of sarcasm. Brand new to San Diego. I'm only looking for platonic friends/a long term relationship. Not really down for something causal.

I'm straight-edge, which means I don't drink alcohol or do drugs. I'm also (mostly) vegan, which means I don't eat animal products. This means that you probably won't see me on a bar stool, chowing down on a hamburger anytime soon. (It's totally ok if you do it though.)

ENFP, in terms of the Myers-Briggs personality test.

I am a level 2 Reiki practitioner. Ask me about it!

If you ask me what I want to do: 9 times out of 10, I'll say I want to go to the beach.

Feel free to message me first. While I'm really outgoing, I tend to like it when someone makes the first move. That's a really nice way of saying I never make the first move.

Kik: Ravenous_Reader

I'm totally aware this profile is really long. My bad, everyone (I'm a writer.) If nothing else, please read 'the self summary' and 'most private thing I'm willing to admit' sections. Should give you a pretty good idea of what I'm like as a person.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Smiling, waving, laughing and saying "It's a wonderful day, isn't it?" to strangers on the street.
Trying to be as compassionate as possible towards myself and other people on a daily basis. Trying to live in love instead of hate.
(Isn't that all that matters?)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making a cup of coffee that is the consistency of mud.
Talking to strangers on park benches.
knowing stuff is going to happen way before it happens.
unblocking stuck energy within one's body.

Oh, and flower crowns. I'm really good at wearing flower crowns.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
"Why are you smiling?"

Also, people often come up to me to tell me I look like someone they know. Guess I have one of those faces.

Movies? Food? Not really my jam.
I have a netflix account that I rarely use. I'm all about reading and listening to the radio! NPR ish: This American Life, The Moth, Radiolab, etc.

Avocado, Cherries, Pineapple, Kale, String beans, Korean sugar donuts filled with sweet red bean paste. If it's the spiciest thing you've ever put in your mouth, I'll love it. If you make me pancakes, I'll be your best friend forever and ever.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Oxygen
2. Water
3. Food
4. Shelter
5. Love/Compassion/Kindness
6. Intellectual stimulation
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The Butterfly Effect

How the universe works / my purpose and the course of life / how I can improve myself (mind-body-spirit.)

How strangers are just friends who haven't met yet.

Spirituality/Buddhism/New Age stuff.

Philosophy, art, creating pieces of writing, photography.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Laughing with people, mostly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Since I'm bi-sexual and on OkCupid, I feel the need to say that I'm not into group sex. Please don't send me sexual messages on here. It's totally creepy.

I don't have a car.

I took care of my grandmother the last two years of her life. We were pretty close our entire lives. What I observed in the end was that all the egotistical stuff (accomplishments, material goods) faded away and didn't really matter. What remained, you ask? Love. In the end, love is what matters.

I'm not thrifty and I'm fiercely independent. How dare you, OkCupid personality traits!
