My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Tony. Well. Technically it's Anthony, but nobody calls me that except a few family members. Named, sort of, for Tony Iommi, the guitarist for Black Sabbath. (My dad's an old-school metalhead.)

Recently moved to Maine, after spending my whole life in Michigan. Not quite sure what to make of it all yet. Certainly looks and smells nicer.

My interests are stereotypically geeky. I'm a gamer, which probably comes as no surprise. If you're not, I honestly don't know what we'd talk about half the time, so you might want to give this one a pass. I'm into RPGs, rhythm games, open world/sandbox games like GTA, and the occasional shooter or puzzle game. I like anything that's got an interesting story to it- my favorite games are the Portal series, Killer7 and Katawa Shoujo (mad props if you've actually heard of that one.)

I read a lot. I read ridiculously fast. By that, I mean I can finish off a book in a day if I really try. Shit's crazy. This is the reason I don't buy books anymore- it's much cheaper just to read them in the store. Plus most bookstores have coffee shops attached, so there's a nice bonus.

I'd like to meet someone to whom looks aren't too important. Personality is the only factor I really judge people by, and I'd like someone who's the same. If I can find someone to geek out with me about games and such, I'm happy.

I'm about a 2 on the Kinsey scale, for those of you who know what that is.

Want to know more about me? Message me here, or send me an IM. My Skype is noisegrenade. I'm online fairly often, so if you want to talk to me, go right ahead.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working at a call center, talking to old ladies who want to buy weight loss and hair restoration products, for the most part. It's not glamorous, but it pays the bills.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Staying up for long periods of time without sleep, provided I've got something to do. Reading really, really fast. Remembering song lyrics, poems, and other such bits of words. Trivial Pursuit, Balderdash, Scrabble, and Scattergories.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've got a tiny patch of white hair in my right eyebrow and I have no idea why. Seriously, I just woke up one day a few years back and it was there.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Dresden Files ranks as my current favorite, as I'm a big fan of urban fantasy and this is some of the best. Also, the Codex Alera, by Jim Butcher, the same guy who writes The Dresden Files. George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire is pretty damn cool, too. I've been known to read the occasional graphic novel, as well- pretty much anything by Alan Moore or Warren Ellis is a winner in my book, along with the Scott Pilgrim series. I'm an anime fan as well, though less so these days than I used to be.

Also, webcomics! Homestuck, Erfworld, Gunnerkrigg Court, Girl Genius, Templar Arizona, and a bunch more. Also a fan of HPMOR, for the few of you who know what that is.

Movies: The Pirates of the Caribbean, anything by Studio Ghibli, Fight Club, Lord of War, Sweeney Todd (Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman singing a duet, what's not to love?) I don't get out to the movies much, working third shift, but I do enjoy a good film every now and then.

Shows: I don't watch a whole lot of TV. These days it's mostly British panel shows off of Youtube- QI, Would I Lie To You, etc.- and whatever I come across on Netflix.

Music: Rather than give you an annoyingly long list of the bands I like, suffice it to say there's next to nothing I won't listen to at least a little of. If you want some more in-depth information, check out my Last.FM.

Food: My taste in food is pretty boring, actually. There's not much that I won't eat- seafood is the biggest offender- but I subsist mainly on yogurt, pizza, Arizona tea, and cobbled-together meals thrown in the slow cooker. I've been known to cook on occasion- I make some pretty good bread, and according to my roommates my homemade pizza is the best ever.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The Internet. My sister. Some source of income. Extra-Strength Excedrin. Peppermint Altoids. Video/computer games.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever song happens to be stuck in my head- and believe me, there's always at least one.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At work. Yeah, I don't have much of a social life these days.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ask, and ye shall receive; there's pretty much nothing I won't admit or talk about if someone's interested.

I'm a bit insecure, and really bad at taking hints, so I won't believe anyone is actually interested in me until and unless they say so unequivocally.

I don't have a car and likely won't be getting one for several months, which has caused problems before.

I have a tendency to visit people's profile and think they sound nice and want to talk to them but then not send them a message because I can't think of anything to say. So if I visit your profile and don't message you, I probably just froze up and left.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You find me at all interesting and want to chat. Or, if you share some of my interests and want to talk about them. (Homestuck fans are doubly invited to do so.) I'm not looking to just chat endlessly with people on here- I'm here because I'd like to find something in real life, so if that doesn't interest you, don't bother.
