My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So, I've been told that bullet points are the way to go for a young active New York professional.

-- I'm living in (or rather just moved to) Manhattan after spending the last few years in Philadelphia.
-- I'm pretty happy with my life; I have a good relationship with my family, a close group of friends, and (besides a few too many hours) a job in medicine that I genuinely enjoy.
-- I'm looking to meet someone who is passionate, smart, and who challenges me; bonus points if you're able to enjoy all occasions -- from last minute weekend trips, dinner parties, nights out exploring the city, and quiet movie nights at home.
-- Aspiring surfer; San Diego, Hawaii and so on....
-- I can speak just enough Chinese to give people false hope and then inevitably have to see that heartbreaking look they give when they realize my conversation skills end after a few sentences
-- Feel free to ask if you're intrigued and want to know more.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working hard doing the medicine thing; filling the time in between with the intermittent surf lesson, trying new restaurants, and exploring this new city I've found myself in.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Not to be too arrogant, but I'm very very good at my job -- I take it seriously, work hard, and care deeply about my patients.

Oh, and I never progressed beyond old-school Nintendo and I am still really good at super mario kart. Challenges welcome.
The first things people usually notice about me

A bit of wit, charm, and a great smile

I like wandering into used DVD and bookstores. Some movies that I really enjoy are Zoolander, Gattaca, Stardust, Kill Bill, and Zombieland. Oh and Top Gun, definitely a Top Gun fan.

As far as television series, I really liked Scrubs and bought all 8 seasons. I had a short lived interest in Grey's Anatomy and Heroes. I've since moved onto the Big Bang theory and Community -- and searching for a new television fascination.

I really wish that I read more literature. Also I think there is something really satisfying about having an actual hard copy book; hence I'm anti-kindle. I really liked reading both Complications and Better by Gawande -- really great books and I've read the entire Enders game series by Orson Scott Card. I just picked up books by Chelsea Handler -- one of the reviewers had written "she's like Judy Blume, if Judy Blume were into vodka, ecstasy, and sleeping with midgets and nineteen year olds" -- and I thought that's just my sort of humor.

My music tastes are pretty varied. Also, I'm pretty good at trying all types of food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Rather than things I could never do without; I'll list things that make me happy.

good friends
family
my cell phone (I don't remember anyone's number anymore), sneakers/running shoes... for a run obviously
a glass of red wine
a sunny carefree weekend
going to a hockey game
a chai tea latte in the morning
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how to save the world? Where I'll be in 5 years. Also, I wonder about that okc enemy percentage -- I've never met my nemesis.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Recently, I've been going out for dinner or drinks -- but I'll also make the last minute spontaneous field trip.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't get lost quite as much as I used to, but still figuring out the subway system.

you think we'd have fun together. If you have suggestions for a great place to explore in this chaotic city. If you have a good sense of humor, you smile often, and are really passionate about something we'll probably get along well.
