I'm originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, but have lived in Florida longer than I lived up there. I'm still a Phillies and Flyers fan, and a hockey fanatic, which makes me an odd duck for Central Florida.

My sense of humor is bizarre, and I'll be amused by things that other people don't find funny, because they remind me of something that happened a decade ago. I also have a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor, with a deadpan delivery, which can sometimes rub people the wrong way. I'm really not trying to insult people, I'm just poking fun at the absurdity of the human condition.

Working, looking for more personally fulfilling work (my current job pays well, but isn't what I want to do forever), learning to put arrows in targets.

Data analysis. Dorky, yes, but at least I'm honest.

If they're seeing me for the first time, my black hair. It's really dark, unless I've spent a LOT of time in the sun. If they're hearing me for the first time, my laughter is...um...rather noticeable. In a "how does a guy that size create that much volume" sort of way.

I read constantly. Most of the fiction I read is science fiction - Elizabeth Moon, David Weber, David Drake, and Jim Butcher are favorites. I also read a lot of non-fiction, since I enjoy learning odd things and would like to write myself.

I don't go out to the movies often. I don't like to sit still in one place for that long.

For music, I've started listening to more European (or European-style) symphonic/gothic metal - Epica, Kamelot, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, and Pain are all on my current playlist. I also have some random things on my playlist from other bands, ranging from Pink Floyd to The Ten Tenors to Santana. I'm not picky about music, as long as it has some complexity to it.

For food, I'm somewhat picky, but it's a random pickiness. I'll eat pretty much any group of food (except curries - they make me ill for some odd reason), but there will be random things in each group I can't stand. I'm mildly allergic to raw onion, but cooked onion is fine.

Talking online with other sci-fi fans (yes, I'm a geek).

Since I actually have pictures up, my hated of cameras isn't appropriate any more. Just to see if people actually read this, I've lost about 30 pounds since those pictures were taken earlier this year.

You don't necessarily expect to hear back tomorrow - I'm not always available to talk.

You can actually use (relatively) proper English. I don't necessarily expect perfect spelling or grammar, but if I need a netspeak gibberish translator, forget it.
