As a recent college graduate, I find myself China bound for the next year to instruct the hardworking Chinese youth in the conjugation of unnecessarily complicated English verbs. Who am I kidding? They probably speak better English than I do. Nonetheless, that's where I am for the next good while.
My major is in East Asian Studies, so I can think of no better place to bar the door against life's wretched knocking for a while. Exploring the world's most populous country, while simultaneously exploring myself. The truth is, I'm not sure what exactly to tell you about me, because the only thing I'm certain of is that my perception of myself will change dramatically in the next year.
For now, I'm an Asia nerd that's thrilled to be returning to that area of the world (I visited Taiwan last summer), a southern-fried addict, a bargain-rack fashionista, and a would be pseudo intellectual trying to find her lot in life.
Yeah, that sounds about right.
