My self-summary
Alright, I'll give this all a try. So.. about me. I'm a tad scatter brained and get lost in thought easily. My mind goes far and wide before it comes close to home. I enjoy examining the cause and effect patterns that emerge and making predictions about what comes next, and I enjoy solving complex problems.

Not quite "long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners", I know, but I am who I am.

No subject is off limits for debate, to me, and its my personal philosophy that a good idea can withstand debate, while bad ideas should be readily discarded.

That being said, I also love physical exploration. Hiking, exploring and going places and doing things most wont. I've done indoor skydiving, white water rafting, walked on glaciers, watched sun rises from the rooftops of skyscrapers and stood on the edge of thousand foot drops to silted rivers far from civilization. And I want to do so much more.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently I'm working a day job as a technician at a retail store (Think "Geek Squad") and it is the highlight of my day when I can fix a complex problem efficiently. In my down time I'm teaching myself programming concepts and designing small, useful applications. All this with the goal of getting a "real" job, hopefully as a developer.
I’m really good at
I'm great at anything technical, anything related to nature, thinking about concepts sideways, sarcasm, humor and back massages. While I'm at it, I tend to be great at empathetic thought and being a calming, comforting presence. Or so I'm told.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and upbeat attitude seems to draw attention, along with my height.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Dragon Lance series, Ender's Game (First read it 17 years ago), A Song of Ice and Fire series, and more science fiction and fantasy titles than I can readily remember.

Movies: Fight club, the new James Bond series (<3 Daniel Crag).. Most movies I only watch once, ever, then move on. Even the ones that I love. I'm always up for a good zombie flick though.

Shows: Disposable distractions for the most part. The only ones that I pay much attention to are Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.

Music: William Control, SoaD, Serj Tankian's solo stuff, Rammstein.. anything with a heavy beat or interesting lyrics. Music isn't very important in my life but it does make nice background noise.

Food: Sushi, pizza, pasta.. I'm very not picky about my food, and consider myself a pretty good cook.
The six things I could never do without
Six things, huh? Lets see.. Nature, the internet (The sum of all human knowledge in multimedia form.. and cats.), my friends, good shoes, rainstorms and freedom to explore.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. Literally. I am a firm believer in multidisciplinary studies, and believe that knowledge in one area enhances your possibilities in all areas. I guess the thing I spend the most time thinking about is the nature of thinking itself. Meta, huh?
On a typical Friday night I am
Typical doesn't exist. On my days off I play board games, get drunk, do research, go for long moonlit walks to parts of town I haven't seen before or just sleep. Or, you know, whatever else strikes my fancy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Willing to admit? I don't have many limits on that. Willing to broadcast publicly? How about that I have no car.
You should message me if
You like trying new things, you enjoy debate, you want an interesting conversation or you are just bored.
