My self-summary
This profile is under construction! Until I come up with something more meaningful and relationship-oriented, here's what I've put together for now:

I'm a polyamorous progressive/civil libertarian Extropian atheist geek (mmmm... labels...). I'm absolutely fascinated by every aspect of science and technology, but also a big fan of the human race.

I am the poster child for "polysaturated", which can be described as having more love than time. I'm sharing my life with the there most amazing people you could ever hope to meet: KFemetal, FatesGirl, & Zyrafa. My life is also graced with some wonderful metamours, numerous cats, a Dog of Total Awesomeness, a cadre of treasured friends, and maybe an umfriend or two - all spread out quite a bit more than I'd like.

The single worst thing in my life right now is that I never have enough time to give my partners what they deserve, stay employed, and tend to my own needs. It's a more painful problem than it may seem, and fortunately it's gradually improving.

I've been described as a "huggy" person. While I respect other people's comfort zones, if we've met socially more than once my natural greeting usually includes a friendly hug, regardless of gender.

My current interests include transhumanism, nanotech, cryonics, sci-fi, robots, DragonCon, quantum physics, Macs, space exploration, roller coasters, Invader Zim, Pr0n, ninjas, creative sex, civil rights issues, robots, skepticism, utilitarianism, video games, and all things dark and cyberpunk.

My Myers-Briggs type is ENTP, with occasional leanings towards INTP.

I am a kid at heart, and one of the happiest people I know. :-)

Oh, my immediate poly family is one branch of a larger intimate network that's been named "The Amorphous Squiggle". I suppose that makes me a Squiggling, which sounds like a monster in a bad sci-fi movie, so I guess it's not entirely inaccurate.

More to come!

I am Extropian, polyamorous, and bouncy
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying it, and sharing the ride with friends and loved ones! I also strive to better myself by constantly learning new things (which is easy, since there are SO many shiny things out there to learn) and by exercising regularly (only moderately successful on that front).

Put another way, my life seems to be an attempt to reconcile my hedonistic tendencies with what I see as a moral imperative to improve the overall situation for intelligent life as a whole, whether it's by saving the world from my arch nemesis and his evil plots or simply holding the door for someone whose arms are full.

I do corporate tech support to pay the bills. It's enjoyable and I like the people I work with, but my job isn't how I define myself.
I’m really good at
Forgetting what I was saying in mid-sentence and neglecting to complete my OKCupid profile!
The first things people usually notice about me
I can switch from serious to silly at the drop of a hat. I'm as comfortable discussing nanotechnology or the evolutionary origin of ethical systems as I am playing with Legos or a bag of twist ties.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I'm not nearly as well-read as I'd like to be! Most of what I read is non-fiction, dealing with science or technology. I've been taking a casual interest in philosophy and theology lately as well. My favorite non-fiction authors are Eric Drexler, Ray Kurzweil, and Richard Dawkins.

My fiction tastes run strongly toward science fiction and anything that Douglas Adams ever wrote. I've also dabbled in fantasy and horror (particularly vampire novels).

Oh, I like to read non-fiction porn online. Does that count?

Movies: I like a LOT of movies, but again I lean toward sci-fi. My all time favorites include The Terminator, T2, Serenity (I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Browncoat), Blade Runner, Buckaroo Banzai, Ghost in the Shell, The Fifth Element, The Matrix movies (yes, all three of them), and Aliens.

I should reiterate that bit about the Terminator movies. I don't love them all equally (I'm looking at YOU, T3!), but my interest in the Terminator franchise could be accurately called an obsession. Our house is filled with Terminator memorabilia of every imaginable type (except for the full-sized endoskeleton. Even obsessions have financial and space limitations!).

On the lighter side, I also enjoy The Princess Bride, Kevin Smith's New Jersey series (esp. Chasing Amy), the Bill & Ted flicks, Dude Where's My Car?, Superbad, and the Monty Python movies. I've probably laughed more at Raising Arizona than at any other movie ever in the history of stuff!

Underworld rocks my socks, and I have an inexplicable love for Godzilla movies, especially the ones from Toho.

Music: Rather than give a 5 page list of bands, I'll just say that my favorite genres are 80's pop and techno/industrial, but I also enjoy some classic rock, classical, rap (nerdcore FTW!), and even the very rare country song or two.

I enjoy the sounds of large engines, gunfire, and distant air raid sirens, but it might be a stretch to call that music.

Food: My favorites? That's easy- sushi, hummus, soy milk, and Guinness (no, not all mixed together). I'm very easy to please food-wise and could probably count all of the foods that I don't like on one hand, though left to my own devices I try to lean toward healthier selections.

I'm a "flexitarian", which basically means that I'm 98% vegetarian but have a few exceptions (like sushi and Thanksgiving dinner), and won't allow my self-imposed dietary restrictions to inconvenience others. For example, if I'm at someone's house and they serve me meat I'll eat it happily. Likewise, if I'm with a group of friends trying to decide where to eat and a BBQ or Brazilian place with no veggie options wins the vote then so be it.

I looooves me some pancakes!

I love "exotic" foods- Indian (Northern and Southern), Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese (do Japanese and Chinese even count as exotic?). I had the good fortune of being taught how to use chopsticks as a kid, and enjoy doing so whenever possible.
The six things I could never do without
My loved ones, my laptop, oxygen, an ambient temperature somewhere between the freezing and boiling points of water, sufficient pressure to keep my blood from boiling without crushing me into paste, and sushi.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my plot to overthrow the human race with my army of giant robots! As you can probably tell by the distinct lack of post-apocalyptic wasteland around you, I'm not so big on the actual implementation part.
On a typical Friday night I am
A typical Friday night for me used to be watching Dollhouse with a group of friends. Since Dollhouse has been cancelled, nowadays I don't think I have a *typical* Friday night. I may be just hanging out at home surfing the net, geeking out with friends, having group sex with my Squiggle-mates, or pushing FOX television executives into a volcano for canceling Dollhouse.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
All of those nasty rumors about me smuggling black market fish sticks for the Yakuza in order to finance my secret plan to build a "most excellent" time travelling phone booth in order to go back in time and collect the whole set of refrigerator magnets from Freakies cereal are completely false, and any photographic evidence to the contrary is part of a vicious smear campaign being conducted by clowns to discredit my warnings to mankind that clowns are actually an evil humanoid species that wears grease paint to conceal their reptillian skin.

Of course, for the REALLY interesting dirt you'll have to message me.
