My Self-Summary
I'm sure I'll leave something out, but here goes ... I'm looking
for someone who isn't afraid to have fun and likes to try new
things now and then.
My favorite color is black, and sometimes I like to watch thunderstorms, if I'm at home when they come through. On a more mundane note, some of other the things I enjoy are reading, movies, woodworking, and other do-it-yourself projects like building bookcases, laying tile, etc. Every now and then I also fiddle with science/technical stuff, and astronomy.
I have three children. They live with their mother. The oldest one has just finished college, and is living with me while she looks for a job.

I'm employed (full-time). I'm always on the lookout for ways to
improve myself, to pick up new skills. I like to learn something
new or try something new, every day if I can.

People sometimes say I'm really shy or quiet. That's true, but once
I get over that I can be as talkative as the next person.

My entertainment tends to be science-fiction or fantasy, but I also
enjoy comedy and some horror movies (not slasher movies, horror
movies). A good martial arts movie usually isn't bad either.

The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and science-fiction books in general.
Movies:
I like all sorts of movies. Some of my favorites are Aliens, Indiana Jones, The Matrix, Monty Python, Zardoz, Underworld, Van Helsing, ... The list goes on and on.

My name is Bob. My screen name, Dave000169, is of geek (not Greek)
origin. It's the name and crewman number of a character from the
science-fiction comedy Red Dwarf. If you like the show, you'll know
right away who I'm talking about or you could Google it. I know
that's not really private, but if I put it on here, it wouldn't be
