I am looking for a fun, humorous, open and honest guy to spend long lazy days by the lakefront, watch parades, movies in the park and fireworks, entertain friends and take trips to go hiking or biking. I want to meet someone who would equally like to go hit a pub, as they would a video bar and like outdoor activities like exploring art fares and street fests as well as like games, movies, and cooking a meal at home. The inescapable geeky side of me loves all things science and tech related and tends to be the focus of my favorite reading and watching material.
I am looking for a guy who don't take himself too seriously, who likes to laugh, loves to hang with a handful quality friends rather than crowds of acquaintances, and who likes to try new things and go new places. If this sounds like you, and you want to do it all with a quality, dependable, fun guy (me!!) in a relationship or even as good friends, I'd love to hear from you!
What I’m doing with my life
Smelling roses! I expended much of my 20's into my career and now it's time to relax, make friends, go outside and enjoy life. If you're in a similar place in life, bonus!
I’m really good at
...burning food I try to cook and making drinks too strong. Finding
logic in a situation when no-one else can (useful for seeing things
from the eyes of others, annoying when I explain how you made your
toaster catch fire)
The first things people usually notice about me
Good question. There seems to be something about me that draws
random strangers to talk with me. I'll have to ask them!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Love sci-fi, fantasty and action movies... I also love psychological thriller and mindless horror movies :)
Music wise I am all over the place. I like songs with more than 12 words worth of lyrics, I like techno, dance pop (probably less than 12 words in those), choice 80's songs (16 candles!!!), any form of local/garage band in a nearby venue leads to a fun time.
Food is fun. I'll try anything, but I won't say that I like everything. I enjoy picking out the flavors and textures and talking about what works and didn't.. then chugging some wine/beer and not caring anymore.
The six things I could never do without
Friends to share new experiences with
High speed internet
Someone to make fun of my mistakes
Sunshine & blue skies
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how things work and how I'd do it better.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging at home with my friends catching a sci-fi movie or TV show
or checking out a new dinner spot.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I get crabby when friends suggest eating at places that only serve
cold lunch-meat sandwiches. That is all.
You should message me if
You want to split a beer, cook a meal, hit a street fest/art fair/farmers market or just have a converstation about tech or a laugh about something absurd. I am also always looking for good friends and activity partners, so feel free to write me and tell me what we have in common, and what you're looking for!
