My Self-Summary
I am a 45 year old single professional white male living in Reston,
and I find myself seeking those who are willing to explore this
area and all it offers with me. Although I would love to meet the
right woman, we all have bit parts that we can play in other
people's life, and if I make a new friend, I'm the richer for it.
What I’m doing with my life
Explore the area more, as there are just so many things to do.
Areas of focus include wine tastings, cultural events, hikes, and
day-trips.
I’m really good at
Being a caring, supportive friend (or more, if the vibes are
right). While I deal with complex matters in my working life, I
tend to prefer a fairly a fairly simple and nurturing private life.
That said, what I am looking for is an intelligent and complex
person, but one that like me, really prefers to avoid pointless
drama or keeping up with the Jones.
The first things people usually notice about me
I would say, listening to friends, that I just seem like a really
nice guy. Of course, I wouldn't agree (in part, because nice guys
usually finish last), but I do see their point. Another comment
that I hear is some variation of being easy/comfortable to talk to,
and that I am the sort that they can talk to hours with. And yes, I
am an INTJ or INFP (depending on what hat I wear that day) - so
much for being an introvert!!!
The six things I could never do without
As I tend to be a man constantly in evolution, what I could not do
without today may very well change tomorrow.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Matters of the heart, mysteries of the universe, and exactly what
happens to that missing sock
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends (about half the time), looking for some trouble
that is seeking a cause (rarely, but does happen), or
decompressing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
That, though I can be a bit cynical at times, deep down I really am
a diehard romantic.
