I'm Dave. I'm an ambitious guy, I graduated from Purdue a few years ago and am now preparing to move forward with my life. What does that entail? Finding the dream job! Working in the space sector, or maybe even being part of a start-up. Who knows what the future may hold?

I am a geek! Don't be shocked if I would rather play a board game than watch a sporting event.

I'm a very approachable guy, my interests are wide, and I'm actually pretty damned awesome. Oh, and humble as well...okay, perhaps slightly sarcastic.

My career currently consists of an engineering position in West Lafayette. The rest of my life consists of spending time with friends, reading a lot, watching shows and movies for entertainment, and generally working toward the next step.

Everything? ... Well, maybe not everything, but I'm not really bad at anything I do. What I really need is to be removed from my comfort zone! Can you help me with that?

Favorite book: Pretty much impossible to pick just one. I would say that Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson (everything he writes is amazing) and Night Watch by Terry Pratchett (ditto) are up there.

Favorite movie: Shawshank Redemption, probably.

Favorite food: As a cuisine, Thai is awesome. As a single dish, an excellent steak can't be beaten.

My latest interests involve home-brewed beer and working with my 3D printer! Either of these sound interesting? Do you happen to have a good beer recipe?

...I'm afraid of people who operate without a consistent guiding philosophy, which is something I have no way to knowing for certain. To put it succinctly, I have trouble trusting people and worry about other people too much.

You are happy, but will always strive for a better life.

You are willing to talk on the phone or meet for coffee. I am not opposed to texting sometimes, but it is a much easier to gauge compatibility, not to mention get to know someone, with a real conversation. It's quick, it's easy, we both get experience breaking the ice, and you'll even get free coffee out of me... I don't actually drink coffee regularly, but I should.

Also, you won't scoff at the idea that I would like to go to space someday.
