This is the part of internet dating I dislike - writing about myself. It either sounds boastful or lame to me, and it is broadcast to the immediate world. On the other hand, I am happy to talk about myself and my feelings one on one with the right person.

Friends say I am a "good guy" with lots of integrity. I try to find the humor in the world around me and enjoy laughing and making others laugh. I enjoy learning about new things and exploring new ideas. I am lucky that my job lets me do that most days, but there is a whole world beyond that. I want someone to share with, learn from and grow with.

I grew up and went to school in the northeast and then moved to Los Angeles. I moved to the bay area 15 years ago and love it here. I have two wonderful daughters - one teaches and the other is in grad school.

By day I am a senior executive at an aerospace manufacturer.
The rest of the time I enjoy various activities - cycling, hiking, theater, museums, travel, wine tasting, cooking. Probably missed a bunch of things. I try to stay busy.

The future.
I am starting to think about retirement even though that is probably 5-7 years away. As a widower of 3 years (after a 25 year marriage) things are and will be different than I was expecting and I spend time thinking about what I want (I think I know now).

Then it wouldn't be private any more. I'll tell you when we meet.
