Hello, my name is David. I'm new to this kind of thing, so please be patient :) I'm a tall (6ft 5in) and slender 21 year old guy who is new to dating, esp online matchmaking/dating. I have the desire to meet new people, but find the traditional bar/club scene rather uncomfortable (I think I would be ok with it if I had someone to go with, but not going by myself). I would say that I'm a mentally stable and happy guy. I have a good sense of humor, and some sarcastic moments, though I do know when to be serious. I have the occasional shy moment, but get over them quickly. Despite my rare moments of shyness, I am outgoing with people, and it seems that people are always laughing around me (I hope not _at_ me hehe). I am also very mature for my age, and find immaturity a turnoff. I have never smoked (and never will), and have never been drunk, though I do like the occasional drink.

I am looking for someone who is intelligent, caring, and funny.

I work for a large bank right now as a technical analyst. I'm working on getting hired on as a fulltime employee (I'm a contractor right now). I'd like to get into a higher income bracket in the next couple of years, and make my mark on the world so to speak. I'm working on getting the first computer related certification that I'll need to achieve my goal.

I find ripping computers apart, and installing upgrades comes naturally to me. I guess I'm pretty good at video games, esp World of Warcraft. Does being a good driver count? lol

Height. I'm pretty darn tall.

Books: Star Trek is my ultimate favorite book series, esp the ones written by Peter David. I also enjoy picture books of the cosmos.

Movies: Star Trek!! (again lol). I mostly enjoy action and sci-fi movies, some comedies, and a few that would be called chick flicks. I'm fairly diverse in the kind of movies I like.

Music: I enjoy heavy metal, and the various subgroups of metal the most, such as In Flames, God Forbid, Trivium etc. I'm not a "metalhead" though. If the song is just mindless thrashing and screaming, it really doesn't do it for me. I also like some mainstream rock (Disturbed, 3 Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, etc). I find trance/electronica/techno to be a refreshing switch from the screaming guitars and tough vocals. The occasional hip-hip is cool with me too, though I can't stress "occasional" enough lol.

Food: I'm not too picky about food. I have had a thing for a big burritos lately though. And I enjoy the fancier types of coffee available. I'm also open to trying new kinds of food, though I do usually stick with tried and true dishes.

1.) My mom. I'm not a momma's boy, but I do love and respect her. She taught me to think, and to make decisions, and her guidance has been very important in my life.
2.) Books. I read quite a bit. It is a nice change from the typical forms of digital entertainment that is popular these days.
3.) Music. It stimulates the mind, and keeps me company.
4.) My computer. I don't watch tv, so I catch the couple of shows I like online. I also play a bit of computer games too.
5.) My health. I may not be really muscular, but I am healthy.
6.) My 2004 Mustang. Zoom Zoom!
7.) Air. Nuff said.

I know that is 1 more then 6, but meh, who cares? I'm thankful for it all and could not live without any of it. There are many other things I could not live without, but this is all I'm listing for now.

I enjoy thinking about how things will be 200 years from now.

I also recently have been day dreaming about meeting the girl of my dreams, and falling in love. I know that probably sounds girly (I'm a guy!), but alas, it is my dream.

I have also been contemplating how to fix the job, money, and oil issues that plague our nation.

I truly think about a lot of stuff lol

Bored

I don't have many friends my age (something I would like to change). Seems like all my friends are in their 30s or 40s.

I have a little bit of a fear of rejection, but I deal with it well.
