My self-summary

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite authors are Chuck Palahniuk and Kurt Vonnegut. I read "Jurassic Park" in the fourth grade and ever since I've been a reader. I have my guilty pleasures, but some favorites are "Dragons of Eden" by Carl Sagan, "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley, and "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72" by Hunter S Thompson.

My favorite movie? I don't want to pick. "Upstream Color," "Spy Game," "The Dark Knight," and "Moon." There are many, many more. I'd bet I've seen more than you and I'd bet even more that I can beat you at Seven Degrees of Separation ;)

Music. I was fortunate to be a teenager in the nineties and a young adult in the aughts. Eclectic possibly covers it. Music touches on a very, very basic level so never say no but always know what you like. I will always own a copy of Ratat's "Classics," the Red Hot Chili Peppers "Californication," "Attack and Release" by the Black Keys, and "Boys and Girls," by Alabama Shakes.

Shows? Community, the Daily Show, the Colbert Report, Cosmos, Mad Men. Breaking Bad is and was a favorite. I am glad that it got to the point that I could stop referring to Bryan Cranston as the dad from "Malcolm in the Middle." I enjoy most things from HBO and House of Cards is great so far.

Food? I love food. I can eat anything as far as fitness in concerned. I can eat most things as far as my stomach or palette is concerned. I make good comfort food. I enjoy eating new foods. Now that is is summer in Tucson, there is nothing quite like an Eegee's!
The six things I could never do without
My friends, my family, a pair of running shoes, my cat (corny, but she's a great cat and how I came to have her is a good story), good food, a good beer/drink.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Current events, sex, Magic: the Gathering, school.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't have a typical Friday night. Sometimes I'm with friends. Sometimes I'm studying. Sometimes I'm frickin tired and I'm relaxing in bed with a movie or book or laptop with a game going on it. Sunday's tend to be a bit more typical. Relax, make sure my house is in order, relax by the pool and grill in the summer, cook some good food and enjoy good company in the cooler months.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a Purple Heart for a minor and in no way long term injury to my...

We happened to have NBC News with us the day that happened so there's video evidence (Here's the link - http://www.nbcnews.com/id/11978134/ns/nbc_nightly_news_with_brian_williams/t/embedded-alpha-company--/#.U4TRdXJdW1g). I guess they were a bit squeamish, though, because they said it was a cut to my waist. It was superficial anyway and was only important because, well... Everything works just fine, by the way. I still have the feeder card from when I went to see the medics. Funny story, let me know if you want to hear it.

Oh, and surprisingly enough, I get anxiety in cars. Imagine that, right? I haven't driven in a year and a half (other than down the street to the store or something) because of it. Finally over that so I'm going to start driving again this summer.

My philosophy is this: Everyone is crazy. When you find someone whose crazy you like and they like you're crazy, you've found a good person to have in your life. Haha, and no, I don't mean actual crazy crazy.
