I'm a health, happy, fiscally responsible, self-depricating, and
reasonably neurosis-free guy. This gender profiling is a strange
new world for me! Am I thin? fit? athletic? curvy? Three questions
in and I'm stumped. (I have to confess that I recently took an
aerobics class.... thanks Groupon, a class at least half full of
genuine oldsters, and the next morning could barely
get....out...of....bed, and raising my arms over my head was
completely out of the question. So, "thin" might be the best
description... since "weakling" was not a body type option). And,
just to thoroughly exhaust the subject, I'm glad to see that
"curvy" is a body type for men as well as women. I have a number of
guy friends that I'd consider "curvy", but I could never tell them
that. Any man who describes himself as "curvy" on a dating site has
reached unparalleled heights of male self-actualization (and should
be scooped up immediately!)
I work as an art conservator, specializing in paper art (20th c.
prints and drawings, Japanese screens, antique globes), and besides
art, I'm somewhat obsessed with music, old and new. I exercise
almost daily but have never understood the (mostly) male interest
in watching other people do sports... especially on TV. I'm most
interested in learning new things, trying classes, sports, books
and movies, and taking new situations with an open mind.
I'm looking for a woman who is mature, creative, interesting,
fun... and funny (or maybe someone who can explain the appeal of
"Downton Abbey"!).
